Golden Child, Crimson Blood is the fifth and penultimate chapter in Black Myth Wukong. We move to the Flaming Mountains which, as the name implies, are mostly rock, fire, and lava.

If you follow this guide, though, you'll know there is an unexpectedly chill area lurking in the corners of the mountain. Here's how to find all missable bosses in chapter 5.
Teleport to the Valley Entrance Shrine in the Furnace Valley. Before you do anything in this area, equip the Fireproof Mantle vessel.
Most enemies here use fire as their main damage, and a lot of it is covered in lava. The Vessel will keep you safe.
Head forward from the Shrine, and keep moving until you find a big, stone arch, defended by an enemy wielding an iron shield.
Once you reach it, go left into the lava. As long as you’re wearing the Fireproof Mantle, you won’t take any damage. If you don’t wear it, though, you’ll take constant damage and will quickly be set on fire.
The Flint Chief will be found behind this thin lavafall.
This one is easy to miss if you’re not into picking plants. From the Ashe Pass III shrine in the Field of Fire area, look towards your right, and you’ll spot a suspicious looking Lingzhi Mushroom.

Interact with it, and the Nine-capped Lingzhi Guai will emerge.
Teleport to the Fallen Furnace Shrine in the Field of Fire region. This is the one you unlock after surviving the relentless assault from the annoying spiked ball.
Make your way back, now that the spiked ball is gone, and stay on course until you spot the area shown below.
Here. turn left. You’ll spot some rocks that stand out, spread around in the next area. Approach them and the Flint Vanguard will form. He is essentially a bigger Flint Chief.
Make your way towards the back right of the Flint Vanguard arena, and keep going down the slope, taking down all the Flamlings (pictured above) you encounter. These enemies have a chance to drop Flame Ore, which you’ll need to summon the boss.
Keep going until you notice an open area that looks like a boss arena. In the middle of it, there will be a glowing area with a bit of smoke. Ignore it for now.

Go right, onto the only path available. It is another slope with a few more enemies, including an extra Flamling, in case you need to farm them.
You’ll eventually find the Cooling Slope Shrine, which is much closer to the boss than the Fallen Furnace Shrine mentioned in the Flint Vanguard paragraphs.
Once you rest here, check if you have 4 Flame Ores. If you don’t kill more Flamlings until you do. When you have them in your possession, interact with the glowing area mentioned previously, and the boss will spawn.
Unfortunately, you need to repeat this process every time you die, so we recommend using all your resources and playing carefully, as the process of farming the ore to repeat the boss can get quite annoying.
The Rusty-Gold Cart is a secret boss only unlocked through the Pale-Axe Stalwart’s questline. He is the big bull you fight right at the start of the chapter.

To get this quest done, you need to exhaust the Pale-Axe Stalwart’s dialogue everytime you meet him. The first time is right after you finish your fight with him. After that, he’ll be found close to the Camp of Seasons Shrine in the Woods of Ember region.
Go down the slope, to the left of the suspended bridge, and you’ll spot him looking off the cliff, towards your right. He’ll be at the highlighted spot in the previous image. Talk to him there until he starts repeating his lines.
Once you do this, he’ll teleport to the shrine in Emerald Hall, in the Furnace Valley. Just make your way back to the arena where you fought the Crimson-Silver Cart, an unmissable boss. The Pale-Axe Stalwart will be waiting by the entrance.
Teleport to the Valley Entrance Shrine in the Furnace Valley. Run forward until you reach the slope defended by the first enemy with a big iron shield.
Kill him, and drop down towards the lava on your right. Hug the wall in front of you, and go left, but stay close to the wall. Some Flamlings will pop up, and you’ll spot a big, gold cart defended by a monkey holding a sword.
Take him down, and interact with the cart. This is related to Ma Tianba’s questline, which we’ll explain in another article. You won’t be able to pull the string off, but once you try it, the cart counts as completed for the Pale-Axe Stalwart questline.
With all this done, travel to the Cooling Slope Shrine in the FIeld of Fire area, which you unlocked prior to fighting the Mother of Flamlings. From this Shrine, you’ll spot a massive gate with snow at the top.
Head there and, if you’ve followed all our previous steps, the Pale-Axe Stalwart will be waiting for you, and talking to him will kick off the Rusty-Gold Cart fight.
After taking down the Rusty-Gold Cart, talk to the now dying Pale-Axe Stalwart and exhaust his dialogue. Doing this will allow you to head into the snow-covered gate at the back of the arena.
Go down the slope, and you’ll spot a big, open area with an ornate pillar on your right. Ignore it for now, and hug the left wall. Go deep enough into the dark, and you’ll spot Baw-Lang-Lang, the lava frog.
With the frog dead, you can go back towards the ornate pillar. As soon as you get close enough, a cutscene will start, teleporting you to the Bishui Cave, chapter 5’s secret area.
From the Surge Pit Shrine, Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top are impossible to miss. Make your way forward and drop into the arena below, for a good call-back to the rest of the chapter, and a pretty tough boss fight.
Progress further into the Bishui Cave, and you’ll eventually encounter the Corridor of Fire and Ice Shrine. This is your last stop before the hardest fight in Chapter 5.
The boss can be seen directly from the shrine, but there’s more to this fight than first meets the eye. You’ll notice a passage in the ice on our screenshot that won’t be present in your game, if the boss is alive.
You want to bait him to attack that ice until it breaks open, and once it does, run through. Follow that path until you find a second arena, where the fight will resume. This time, he is all about ice attacks though, so your Fireproof Mantle won’t be as useful. Use it in the first phase.
When you get the Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast low enough, he’ll roar, putting out the fire blocking out the passage shown above. This is your chance to get to the third and final arena, and to experience the entire fight, as it was intended. Good luck!
