Black Myth Wukong has a slightly different RPG progression system. Leveling up gets you a Spark, the game's skill points, but it doesn't raise your stats by itself.
You become better by investing those Sparks into better stats, or better skills. Additionally, your Spirits, Weapon, and armor considerably increase your power, too.

This means that XP and Will, the currency you use to cultivate Spirits and craft equipment, are the most crucial resources in the game.
Here's the best way to farm both of them at once, infinitely.
Before starting your farming session, make sure you have the tools needed for the job. The mandatory requirement for making this farming strategy work is the Ashen Slumber Transformation. Without it, you won't be able to do the routine fast enough.
But there are some extra things you can get to maximize the efficiency of the routine. The Lantern Holder Spirit raises the amount of Will you earn from enemies, the Celestial Registry Tablet increases Experience gained, and the Golden Carp increases the chance of obtaining materials.

Again, the only thing you need to make this work is the Ashen Slumber Transformation, but getting the three extra items will make your ROI even better.
The Ashen Slumber Transformation is earned at the end of a quest that spans both chapter 3 and 4. To start off, travel to the Village Entrance Shrine, in the Yellow Wind Ridge region, at the Sandgate Village.
Cross the wooden bridge, and keep going right until you drop down in front of a Rat Guai holding a shield. Clear the enemies in the area, and go up the slope in front of the cliff.
There are two house on top of the cliff, go towards the one on the left. You'll be able to talk to someone inside, so exhaust their dialogue.
With this done, teleport to the Upper Pagoda Shrine in the Pagoda Real, inside The New West region. Drop down to the area right in front of this Shrine to kill the Captain Lotus-Vision, if you haven't done this before.
Once this Yaoguai Chief is dead, travel to the Lower Pagoda Shrine, and run towards the highlighted cell above. You will now be able to enter it, and you'll spot the dead body of a two-headed rat guai on the right side of the cell, impaled by a sword.

Interact with it and you'll receive the Ashen Slumber Transformation.
We're not 100% sure what causes the Lantern Holder Spirit to spawn. In our case, he was waiting for us once we finished Chapter 4 in its entirety. It is possible he spawns earlier, but if he doesn't, finish the chapter first.

Finding him is easy, all you need to do is teleport to the Estate of the Zhu Shrine in Village of Lanxi, the first shrine you find in chapter 4.
It will now be day, instead of night, and the Lantern Holder Spirit will be waiting for you inside the arena where you fought The Second Sister.
Travel to the Bounds of Deity's Abode Shrine in the Purple Cloud Mountain, chapter 4's secret area. If you don't know how to reach this area, follow this guide first.
From this shrine, walk through the wooden gate behind you and hug the right wall. Keep going until you spot a gazebo guarded by a yellow-robed enemy. Behind him you'll find the Celestial Registry Tablet inside a basket.
The Golden Carp is the least important item for this farm, but it will raise your chances of getting more Tiny Pieces of Gold, which will directly improve your Will gain, so it is worth it, regardless.
To get it, you simply need to take down the Yellow Loong in Chapter 3's secret area. He can be found right by the Relief of the Fallen Loong Shrine in the Webbed Hollow.
Although he isn't part of a secret area, as per the game's definitions, he is very easy to miss. You will also have to have beaten the Loongs of chapter 1, 2, and 3 before being able to fight him.
If you're not sure how to to do so, just follow all the linked guides:
Once you have all the preparation done, you're ready to start raking in the rewards. Teleport to the Pool of the Shattered Jade Shrine in Webbed Hollow, and our farming spot is directly to the right of the shrine.
You'll spot a ton of hanging web sacs, which are our target. The plan here is simple:
This will get you around 2800 experience points and will each time you do this, which can be even more if you get lucky with the Tiny Pieces of Gold that drop, especially with the Golden Carp.
