In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (KCD2), weapons are integral to combat, and with a wide range available, it’s crucial to understand which weapons best suit your playstyle and combat strategy.
Weapons in KCD2 are categorized based on their design, weight, and usage. They also require specific skills to wield effectively, with each type offering unique advantages. In this guide, we’ll explore some of the best weapons in KCD2, detailing what makes them stand out and where to find them.
Weapons in KCD2 come with distinct attributes, including damage, durability, weight, and traits. However, their effectiveness is largely determined by your character’s Strength, Agility, and Weapon Mastery stats.
You can obtain weapons through looting, crafting, quest rewards, or by purchasing them from Blacksmiths and Merchants throughout the game.
Gnarly’s Club is a powerful weapon that deals high blunt damage, making it an effective early-game choice for breaking through heavy armor. However, despite that high blunt damage, it is lacking in stab and slash damage.
You can earn this weapon during The Jaunt quest after dueling Sir Jan Semine. While it’s great for early combat, its effectiveness diminishes later in the game when enemies wear tougher armor.

The Rider’s War Hammer is a strong weapon primarily used by mounted fighters. Its high blunt damage is excellent for penetrating armor, making it a strong choice against heavily armored enemies.
You can acquire it from Blacksmith Osina at Trosky Castle or other merchants. While its weight may reduce swing speed, its effectiveness on horseback is unparalleled, especially in the early stages of the game.
For players who prefer ranged combat, the Dogwood Village Bow is an excellent early-game choice. It’s perfect for novice archers and allows you to practice your archery skills with ease.
You can find this bow at the Trosky region archery range, where it’s offered for free. While it’s effective against smaller enemies, it may require upgrading as you progress in the game.

The Skalitz Axe is a heavy weapon perfect for both slashing and blunt damage, especially against unarmored opponents.
You can find it early in the game, and it’s useful for clearing bandit camps. Though it has high damage output, its heavy weight can drain your stamina. Ideal for early-game encounters, this axe provides a good balance of offensive capabilities.
Bailiff’s Mace is a powerful one-handed weapon designed to crush enemy defenses with blunt damage. Its lightweight design makes it a good choice for players who prefer to pair a weapon with a shield. While it lacks stabbing and slashing capabilities, its sheer damage output makes it deadly in close-quarters combat.
You can find this mace from Blacksmith Radovan in the Trosky region or Blacksmith Zdimir in Kuttenberg.

The journey to acquiring the Reforged Radzig Kobyla's Sword begins during the main quest, The Storm, which takes place at the end of the first major region, Trosky. Without giving away any spoilers, the mission rewards you with Radzig Kobyla's Sword, a crucial weapon in your arsenal. Upon completing the mission, you will also automatically unlock the recipe to craft the Reforged version of this sword.
Once you’ve obtained the initial Radzig Kobyla's Sword, you need to upgrade it into the Reforged version. To do this, you'll need to collect 3 Toledo Steel – a rare material that is not easily found in Trosky. However, once you complete The Storm mission, you’ll gain access to the Kuttenberg region, where you’ll be able to purchase Toledo Steel.
The best place to buy Toledo Steel is in the City of Kuttenberg, located in the southeastern corner of the Kuttenberg region. Once you enter the city, head to the central market, where you will find several blacksmiths selling this precious material. Be sure to buy enough Toledo Steel for your upgrade.
Once you have your Toledo Steel, it’s time to upgrade your sword. Make sure to save your game before you begin crafting (we have a guide on how to save your Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 game), as the process is delicate and requires precision.
You’ll need to head to a Smithy, where you’ll find the recipe for the Reforged Radzig Kobyla's Sword under the Longswords tab. Crafting the sword is not a simple task – mistakes can ruin the upgrade, so it’s important to carefully follow the steps.
If you fail the crafting process, don’t worry. Simply reload your save and try again. After a few attempts, you’ll successfully create the Reforged Radzig Kobyla's Sword and unlock an achievement for doing so.
The Reforged Radzig Kobyla's Sword is an incredibly strong weapon with the following stats:
Yes, you read that correctly – the Reforged Radzig Kobyla's Sword has zero weight. This is because the weapon is tied to the story, making it act as a key item. The Strength and Agility requirements are hefty but absolutely worth building toward, especially considering the superb damage stats this sword offers.
