If you think Slay The Spire 2 is addicting, imagine having it always available on your phone. I had that experience with the original and let me tell you, I am not proud of the amount of time I spent on the toilet.

The question is, will Slay The Spire 2 be on mobile? Here is everything we know on the topic so far.

There isn’t any official information regarding mobile ports for Slay The Spire 2 yet, but there is a lot we can learn from the original’s release schedule. Slay The Spire 1 entered Early Access on Steam in late 2017.
It came out in 1.0 in January of 2019, and was released on most platforms throughout that year. Its mobile release, though, only came more than two years later, in February of 2021.
The game got over a million downloads on Google’s Play Store, so it was incredibly successful. Given that information, here is what you can expect.
A mobile port of Slay The Spire 2 is all but confirmed given the amount of money that is on the table. There isn’t really a precedent when it comes to Early Access titles on mobile, though.
So everything points to Slay The Spire 2 coming to mobile when it reaches 1.0 or soon after. But wait, not all hope is lost.

While there isn’t a mobile port even confirmed yet, Slay The Spire 2 can be played in a portable fashion. Even though it isn’t uncommon in this phase, the game came out in Early Access already Steam Deck Verified.
So if you own one of Valve’s handheld machines—which are a bit tough to find nowadays, unfortunately—, you can actually play Slay The Spire 2 on a handheld.
But remember, play at your own risk. This is such an addicting game that I would think twice before having it so easily accessible. Joking aside, the game runs smoothly on Steam Deck and it even supports touch screen controls, so it is an excellent way to play it.
Furthermore, even if own a Mac laptop, for example, that is an option too. Slay The Spire 2 supports macOS even in Early Access and is a very light install, so you can easily sneak it into your work laptop.
