With all available roster moves exhausted for the regular season, Geekay Esports has announced the addition of former World Champion Fairy Peak to their coaching staff.
Fairy Peak only has one coaching tenure under his belt under the Team Vitality banner in 2024. Under him, The Hornets won one regional, placed in the top 2 for the other two, and finished top 4 at the Copenhagen Major.
His tenure came to a close after results declined for Vitality. They finished 5-8th at the London Major and Esports World Cup in consecutive tournaments, and then missed the playoffs at Worlds with a loss to Oxygen.

The Frenchman replaces Eekso, whose addition initially bolstered the organization to a second place finish at the 2025 Esports World Cup, and then a top 4 finish at Worlds the next month. Since then, however, results have begun to decline, with Geekay missing the playoffs in 3 of the 5 regional tournaments this RLCS season.
Whether that’s the fault of the coach or the roster remains to be seen, but it seems like the Rocket League community will soon find out based on Geekay’s performance tomorrow.

The G-Men are poised for a tilt against former teammate Seikoo in the Upper Bracket Semifinals of Group A, provided both Geekay and Man City win their opening matches.
This clash would have huge implications towards the race towards the Paris Major and Worlds, as Geekay need City to lose in the top 8 or below. If City are to win that Upper Semifinal match on Friday evening, Geekay’s LAN chances are cut short, forcing them to look toward the LCQ.
While Geekay did look significantly better this past Sunday, the second weekend of play is really all that matters. It’s do or die now for the Blue and Yellow, and we’ll see if the addition of Fairy Peak will pay off.
