The Kings of France Reclaim Their Throne: Karmine Corp are Paris Major Champions!

For the third time since the 2022-23 season, Karmine Corp have an RLCS Major win.

This is now the fourth time that Axel “Vatira” Touret has lifted an RLCS Major trophy since winning with Moist Esports in London back in his rookie season. He took home his other three trophies under the Karmine Corp banner, and has now tied League Play legend Pierre “Turbopolsa” Silfver for the most RLCS Major and Worlds Championships with four.

The other two players representing the Blue Wall, Tristan “Atow” Soyez and Charles “Juicy” Sabiani, have now become repeat Major title winners. Atow saw his first Major win when he won alongside Vatira in Birmingham back in 2025.

Juicy on the other hand, won his first major under the Gentle Mates banner. The Mates came in as the four seed, and were the first EU four seed ever to win a Major. The second EU four seed ever to win a Major was crowned today in Paris La Défense Arena.

Karmine Corp had a sluggish split, which is evident by that seeding. They failed to win a regional in a split for the first time since late in the 2024 season. That’s only the second time that’s happened to Karmine Corp under Vatira’s watch.

Coach Alexandre “Extra” Paoli has his first Major win of his coaching career, becoming the first person to win an RLCS Major both as a coach and as a player. Extra won the Fall Split Major of the 2021-22 season under the Team BDS banner alongside Evan “M0nkey M00n” Rogez.

Monkey Moon is now on Twisted Minds, enjoying his first season in the Middle East with Trk511 and Nwpo. Twisted bowed out in groups back in Boston but had a huge rebound here in Paris, making it all the way to the Grand Finals before losing to Karmine Corp.

Luckily for the two-time Worlds winner, the World Championship will be headed back to Dickie’s Arena, the venue where he won both Worlds titles. When asked about his success in Dickie’s on the desk after the Major concluded, KC coach Extra pointed out that “it’s my place too.”

With Worlds a couple months away, we look forward to another possible clash between the first World Champions of the Open Era. For now, however, Karmine Corp get to soak in their win over the summer.
