Black Myth Wukong goes way past the previously advertised playtime of 15-20 hours. Finishing the game, including all optional bosses, took me a little over 50 hours.

The game has a lot of content to offer, including decent replayability through its New Game Plus system, but that's not all. Game Science saved the best for last, with a Secret Ending awaiting the players who faced most of the challenges the game had to offer.
Here's how you can unlock Black Myth Wukong's Secret Ending.
Unlocking Black Myth Wukong's Secret Ending requires four points:
This is as spoiler-free of a guide as I can muster. The Final Secret and Final bosses will not be named, but all, Secret Final bosses for chapter one through five will be revealed, so you can confirm if you've taken them down already.
The mandatory secret boss in chapter one is Elder Jinchi. He is unlocked through a sort of side-quest, which involves ringing all three bells spread throughout the Black Wind Mountain region.
The first bell you can ring sits right at the end of Guangzhi’s Arena, pictured above. If you don't know where that is, follow the linked guide for a thorough explanation.
The second one can be found by traveling to the Marsh Of The White Mists Shrine.
Go backwards down the stairs, and take a right as soon as you reach the clearing below. Go up the stairs and you’ll find the bell.
Lastly, the third bell can also be found from the same Shrine.
Now, make your way forwards through the arena where you fight the Whiteclad Noble and, instead of walking through the huge gate, head into the opening on your left.
Fuban is the final secret boss you need to take down in chapter two. He can be found in the Kingdom of Sahali, the secret area unlocked through completing the Yellow-Robed Squire's questline.
To find him, travel to the Rockrest Flat shrine, go left into the large clearing with a Spearbone, kill it, and break through the wooden fence behind him.
Exhaust the Drunken Boar’s dialogue, and travel to the Squall Hideout shrine in the Fright Cliffs.
Go back to the Man-In-Stone and, if you’ve finished his quest and some time has passed, he will sell you stuff. Crucially, he sells you the Sobering Stone, which you can use to sober the Drunken Boar up.
Go back to him, exhaust his dialogue again, and travel to the Temple Entrance shrine in the Crouching Tiger Temple. Head up the stairs and take the third right, the one with the huge tiger statue.
The Drunken Boar will be sitting in front of it.
Exhaust his dialogue again, and give him some Jade Lotus. If you don’t have one, you can just search water areas until you find some. After doing so, travel again to the Rockrest Flat.
If you have already killed the First Prince Of The Flowing Sands, you have the Arhat Gold Piece the Boar wants. If you haven't, follow out chapter two boss guide.
Once you go back to where the Drunken Boar was, he'll fight you. Take him down, and he'll open the door towards the secret Kingdom of Sahali.
Follow the linear path, take down the "Tiger Vanguard" and Fuban will be waiting in the next arena.
The secret boss you need to take down in the third chapter is the Green-Capped Martialist, unlocked through completion of the Treasure Hunter's questline.
Travel to the North Shore of the Bitter Lake shrine in the Bitter Lake region, and go towards where you fought Chen Loong.
Go right, through the large gate. Stay on that path until you spot a large wooden building, and you’ll find the Treasure Hunter asking for help, surrounded by two Apramana bats.
If he’s not there, you’ll have had this encounter already. Just move onto the next step. If he is there, kill the enemies and exhaust his dialogue.
From there, teleport to the Towers of Karma Shrine. If you don’t have it unlocked, read the Old Ginseng Guai entry in our chapter three boss guide. Follow the path in the middle of the pillars, and you’ll find the Treasure Hunter almost frozen on the tree highlighted above.
Cast Ring of Fire in front of him, which will start a cutscene. Once that’s done, exhaust his dialogue, move back to the Shrine, and travel to the Brook of Bliss in the Valley of Ecstasy. Cross the nearby bridge, and turn right.
Go down the slope until you spot an icy lake. Run past it, and look for a fire on the right side of the massive stone. Move past the frozen corpses standing there, and jump down.
Mind your step, and keep going down. Jump onto the massive tree, cross it, and drop down on top of another flame. Activate the Melon Field Shrine, and head into the temple directly next to it.
If you followed all previous steps, a cutscene will begin, kicking off your fight against the Green-Capped Martialist.
Duskveil is chapter four's mandatory secret boss, and he's find at the end of the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area. Reaching him requires completing yet another questline, which is achieved through defeating the Venom Daoist twice.
To find the Venom Daoist, travel to the Pool of Shattered Jade Shrine. From there, go towards the web sacs on your right. Kill the ones that attack you, or dodge past them.
After getting through, you’ll notice a much bigger web sac in front of the house shown above. Hit it and the Venom Daoist will come out, beginning the boss fight.
Much further along during chapter four, which we've covered in detail during our guide, you'll have a second encounter with this boss.
From the Court of Illumination Shrine, walk towards the gate shown above. Run past the enemies, and into the house to your left.
You can ignore all the enemies, so just keep on running. You’ll go up a ton of stairs, until you eventually walk into an open area with two possible paths. Take the one on the left, and drop down into the arena.
If you followed the beginning of this guide and defeated the Venom Daoist during the first encounter, he’ll be here waiting for you.
Kill him, and approach the painting on this wall. That will allow you to access chapter four’s secret area, the Purple Cloud Mountain.
Find the Valley of Blooms Shrine in the Purple Cloud Mountain, and go towards the big wooden bridge shown above.
Run past the tall gate, take down all the enemies and go through the middle of the two statues.
Keep heading forward, and fight your way past the village where you can complete Daoist Mi's questline. At the top of the village, you'll find the Cloudnest Peak Shrine.
Just walk up the stairs, and you'll find Duskveil.
Our final mandatory secret boss is found at the end of Chapter Five, through the completion of another lengthy questline. This time, we need to help the Pale-Axe Stalwart.
You need to exhaust his dialogue every time you find him. The first time you do, is after you finish your fight with him. After that, he’ll be found close to the Camp of Seasons Shrine in the Woods of Ember region.
Go down the slope, to the left of the suspended bridge, and you’ll spot him looking off the cliff, towards your right. He’ll be at the highlighted spot in the previous image. Talk to him there until he starts repeating his lines.
Once you do this, he’ll teleport to the shrine in Emerald Hall, in the Furnace Valley. Just make your way back to the arena where you fought the Crimson-Silver Cart, an unmissable boss. The Pale-Axe Stalwart will be waiting by the entrance.
Teleport to the Valley Entrance Shrine in the Furnace Valley. Run forward until you reach the slope defended by the first enemy with a big iron shield.
Kill him, and drop down towards the lava on your right. Hug the wall in front of you, and go left, but stay close to the wall. Some Flamlings will pop up, and you’ll spot a big, gold cart defended by a monkey holding a sword.
Take him down, and interact with the cart. This is related to Ma Tianba’s questline, which we’ll explain in another article. You won’t be able to pull the string off, but once you try it, the cart counts as completed for the Pale-Axe Stalwart questline.
With all this done, travel to the Cooling Slope Shrine in the FIeld of Fire area, which you unlocked prior to fighting the Mother of Flamlings, which we covered during our chapter five guide. From this Shrine, you’ll spot a massive gate with snow at the top.
Head there and, if you’ve followed all our previous steps, the Pale-Axe Stalwart will be waiting for you, and talking to him will kick off the Rusty-Gold Cart fight, which is the first step towards reaching Bishui Cave.
After taking this boss down, talk to the Pale-Axe Stalwart and head through the gate. Approach the massive pillar inside, and you'll be teleported to chapter five's secret area.
From here, you can't miss Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast, chapter five's mandatory secret boss. You'll find him deeper into the cave, after you take down Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top.
With all five secret bosses defeated, you're ready to fight Black Myth Wukong's Final Boss. You'll find it at the end of chapter six, and he is impossible to miss.
Take him down, and then travel to the Great Pagoda Shrine in the Pagoda Realm, in The New West. If you don't have this fast travel point unlocked, travel instead to the Snow Veiled Trail Shrine.
From there, go towards the path shown above. Cross the suspended wooden bridge and follow the path to where the frozen zombies are turned. You'll spot the Great Pagoda looming in the distance.
Head inside, and you'll be treated to a cutscene, if it's your first time there. If you've been following this guide, all the walls will be painted, except for the one in the center.
Approach it, and you'll find the baby Buddha from chapter three waiting for you. He'll unlock the path towards Black Myth Wukong's final secret area, and the game's true final boss.
Take the boss down and, once you do, defeat the final boss again. You'll have reached the game's true ending.
