Astralis became the first BLAST Rising champions last night as they took down PARIVISION, and now Imperial have joined them in that feat by defeating MIBR over in South america.
The second of four inaugural BLAST Rising champions, the win has earned them a spot in BLAST Open Lisbon, where they will compete against 12 of the world's best teams and the three other BLAST Rising champions.
An impressive run, let's take a look at how they qualified.
Imperial began their run with a dominant victory over Fluxo, limiting their compatriots to just eight rounds as they won both Dust2 and Inferno 13-4.
New signing chayJESUS and try were the stars, they combined for 70 kills as Fluxo were put to the sword.
Fluxo wasn't Imperial's only dominant win on their way to booking their spot at BLAST Open Lisbon, they also took down paiN with ease.
The series began with a confident 13-2 showing on Train, and ended soon after following a 13-10 win on Inferno. A game that was lead by example, Imperial's captain VINI topped the scoreboard with 38 kills.
Despite their dominance before the final, they had to come back from a map down to win BLAST Rising.
MIBR opened the series with a 13-9 win on Mirage, largely down to a 23-12 statline from their AWPer, saffee.
The series remained close, but Imperial leveled the tie thanks to a 13-9 win on Nuke. Another strong showing from VINI, he once again top fragged as he picked up 21 kills.
Imperial closed out the series with a 13-10 win on Inferno, continuing their strong form on the map during BLAST Rising. decenty topped the scoreboard with 19, equaling saffee's kills for MIBR and earning Imperial the win.
