Dust2 is the most iconic map in Counter-Strike history, and with the changes to smokes in CS2, the map is better than ever.
The most played map in Counter-Strike 2 right now, a lot of people still don't know how to properly play it, so we've put together this guide in order for people to be able to call themselves Dust2 masters.
Learning smokes is one of the most important things to do for any map in CS2, and Dust2 is no different. In this guide we'll go through a whole host of smokes on the map that will make your T sides as dangerous as they can be.
Fortunately, the smokes you need to learn on Dust2 are all pretty easy to learn and throw consistently. They also deny a lot of space from the CT side, making it much easier for you to get executes off without having to worry about extra angles you would otherwise have to fight.
In the Dust2 CS2 smokes guide, we'll go over the following smokes:

The first smoke, and perhaps the most important one, is the doors smoke.
Changes to smokes in CS2 has meant that the old Xbox smoke is no longer a necessity, because a far easier smoke thrown into the Mid Doors will now bloom and cover the whole thing.
Just watch out for CTs blowing up the smoke with a HE Grenade.
To throw the smoke, you'll first need to line up alongside this wall in T Spawn.

Then look up at the wall ahead of you and aim here.

If you need a closer look, there is a mark on the wall that makes the lineup more exact.

To throw the smoke, you will need to jump throw. If done correctly, it will look this this.

So, you've smoked doors and gotten control of Short - what now? If you want to execute on A by going through Short, there are two smokes you will need to know.
The first of these is the Short progression smoke, which allows you to move towards the bombsite without being seen by an AWPer at Car.
To throw the smoke, follow these steps.
Start by standing in this corner next to the Steps on Short.

Then look up at this window on the wall next to you.

To throw the smoke, just do a regular left-click smoke. If thrown correctly, it will land as shown.

The second smoke you need to know lands at the boxes where CT players can jump up onto Short. If you don't smoke those boxes, the CTs will be able to peek you as you come from behind the first smoke, making it very difficult for you to counter them.
Fortunately, they can be thrown from the same position, so you can have a second smoke dropped to you and throw both for your team to execute.
For the second lineup, aim as shown.

To throw the smoke, you'll need to use both your left and right click. If you throw it correctly, it will land as shown in the image below.

With those two smokes, all you will need to do is worry about the Ramp position as you start to fight the A site. However, when you get to A site, you will also have to worry about CT as well.
That is, unless you have a lurker throwing this smoke from Long.

Throwing this smoke from Long, even if there is only one player there, will distract the CTs and remind them that Long is a threat.
To throw the smoke, line up against this corner of the bin on Long.

When you get there, aim as shown.

You'll then need to do a regular left-click throw, and it will land as follows.

But what if Short doesn't go well? What if you see that there is already a stacked A site? Or what if you're just trying to throw a fake? If that's the case, then the Dust2 CS2 Mid to B smoke will suddenly become the most powerful tool in your arsenal.
To throw the smoke, you'll first need to lineup as shown behind the Xbox in Mid.

To then line yourself up, you'll first need to crouch and line up as shown below.

If you've lined up correctly, once you uncrouch you should be aiming as shown. If that's the case, perform a jump throw.

If you've done the previous parts correctly, the smoke will land and look like this.

It's important that the smoke lands this way as it covers the places in which the CTs can boost in CT spawn. If you don't do this, you will find yourself getting shot in the back as you try to push the B Doors.
