A tense affair, the conclusion of the European RMR Last Chance Qualifier means that we have confirmation of the final team to qualify for the final Major of CS:GO.
With two teams left heartbroken, let's go back over all the action from today's games!
The opening game of the day saw Cloud9 face BIG for a chance to play in the LCQ final against FaZe.
With both teams still looking to make amends for previous losses and give themselves a final chance to qualify for the Major, the match was set to be a banger.
BIG picked Anubis first, where a close contest would be fought as Cloud9 led at the half with a 8-7 scoreline. The Russian team was able to convert in the second half, as only krimbo was really able to put up a fight against the onslaught of sh1ro, Ax1Le, nafany, and H0bbit.
As the second map ensured on Cloud9's pick of Vertigo, the Russian team continued strong with another 8-7 first half scoreline. Everyone on the team continued strong, while buster helped push them over the line for a 16-12 victory and a chance to play FaZe for Major qualification.
Following on from their victory versus BIG, Cloud9 picked Mirage to open up their series against FaZe. Looking like a smart choice at the half time break, Cloud9 led 11-4 thanks to strong performances from star duo sh1ro and Ax1Le.
Unfortunately for the Russian team, this is where it all came crashing down, as heroics from broky, ropz, and karrigan meant that FaZe would respond with an 11-4 CT half of their own.
Momentum completely in their favour at this point, FaZe completed their comeback in overtime with a straight 4-round victory to take the series 19-15 and went into their own map pick of Inferno with a 1-0 lead in the series.
Inferno wasn't to be as close as Mirage as once again, a team led 11- at half time. This time FaZe thanks to a stellar T-side, Twistzz and rain made up for underperformances in map one to give their team a favourable lead for Major qualification.
Momentum never really left FaZe's side from that point on. Despite Cloud9 wining five rounds on their T side, replying with five rounds of their own was all FaZe needed to take the series.
With Cloud9 eliminated following that result, FaZe became the final team to qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major Challengers stage. Stay tuned to BLAST.tv in the run up to the event for all the coverage, and make sure you're here on May 8th when the Major kicks off for real!
