Team Falcons have made history. They are the first non-NA or EU roster to win a Major event in Rocket League.
The undisputed #1 team from MENA (Middle-East and North Africa), Falcons took down EU #2 Dignitas in the Grand Final at the Raleigh Major.
Consistently touted as one of the best teams but always lacking the final step, Falcons have finally proven to the world, and perhaps themselves, that they are a true force on the international stage in Rocket League.
Despite the eventual 4-1 scoreline, the final was an intense mix of technical and mechanical Rocket League skill. Joreuz, Dignitas’ Dutch star, scored one of the goals of the tournament in the final losing effort.
Whilst the score may not have been tight, the individual games felt it throughout.
Falcons had reached the final of Majors on two different occasions before Raleigh, falling at the final hurdle both times.
Now, with their emphatic win over Dignitas in North Carolina, they can finally be free of the community stigma that they breake when it matters most.
“It’s a historical moment, it’s not anymore something difficult,” Major MVP Kiileerrz said to BLAST.tv.
"We are not anymore a minor region, so far Falcons it’s third time a charm”.
Kiileerrz had one of the most impressive individual performances seen in Rocket Leauge history in Raleigh.
He scored 1.04 goals per game at the Major, but also managed 2.00 saves for every goal scored against Falcons.
His numbers alone proved worthy of winning MVP for the Major.
Next for Falcons is a trip home to play in the Esports World Cup, back-to-back with the 2025 Rocket League World Championship in Lyon.
Worlds promises to be one of the biggest events in Rocket League history with a sold-out crowd ready to welcome 20 teams to the south of France.
“After winning this major we are confident that we could win the next EWC and World Championship in Lyon,” Killeerrz said.
“It will be very exciting, the French fans will be the loudest and it will be exciting for us, and we will win it in France.”
EWC takes place August 14-17 with a $1m prize pool, followed by the Rocket League World Championship and its $1.2m prize pool from September 9-14.
