Rocket League is one of the biggest and best esports in the world. A high-octane and thrilling game where football (or soccer, if you’re that way inclined) meets driving, it’s a combination that creates an esport like no other.
Now in its 14th season, the RLCS (Rocket League Championship Series) is the pinnacle of Rocket League esports. It’s where the best teams and players play, and it culminates in a World Championship with a whopping $1,200,000 prize pool.
But what are the other big Rocket League events in 2025? Where else can you look if you want to see the best in the world battle it out? In this article, we’ll tell you all about the biggest Rocket League events in 2025, both the recent RLCS Birmingham Major, and those that are yet to come.
The first big LAN event of 2025, the RLCS Birmingham Major 2025 kicked off the Rocket League season for this year.
Won by Karmine Corp, the French organisation were dominant at the event, going 3-0 in the Swiss stage and then racing through the upper bracket all the way to a clean 4-0 sweep of The Ultimates in the grand final.
Bolstered by 2024 RLCS World Championship winner dralii, Karmine Corp look set to have a huge 2025, and the new man told us after the win that “when I joined, the goal was to win everything we can. We're aiming towards the World Championship, and this is our statement of that. We're going to stay on top.”

The win meant that Karmine Corp took home $102,000 of the $351,000 prize pool for the event, which took place in Birmingham, England. A win that put the world on notice, other top teams such as Vitality and NRG will now know they have to do a lot more in order to catch up to their rivals.
The next big RLCS LAN will take place between June 26th and June 29th, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The second 16-team event of the year, it’s the event where the real power rankings will become clear, and we’ll be set to see whether Karmine Corp are going to stay on top as dralii said they would.
Teams will head to Raleigh from all over the world, depending on their respective success within their regions. When they get to the event, the regional split will be as follows:
The teams will compete in three online Open events prior to the RLCS Raleigh Major, hoping to secure points at each one in order to get a spot in Raleigh. The prize pools for these events range from around $25,000 all the way up to just under $110,000.

The biggest event in Rocket League in 2025 will be the culmination of the RLCS season, the RLCS World Championship 2025.
Set to take place in Lyon, France in the LDLC Arena, the RLCS World Championship 2025 will have an incredible $1,200,000 prize pool, making it one of the biggest events in esports.
For the World Championship, the team list will expand from 16 teams to 20 teams. The invites for the teams will once again be decided by points, with the same regional split used for the World Championship as with the RLCS Birmingham Major and the RLCS Raleigh Major.
However, in addition to those 16 teams, four more teams will also join them from Last-Chance Qualifier events. Those last chance qualifiers will take place on the following days:

The RLCS World Championship itself will take place between the 9th and 14th of September, 2025. It will begin with an eight-team GSL Play-in, from which the top four teams will advance to the Group Stage.
The Group Stage will then feature 16 teams, which will be split into a further two eight-team GSL formatted groups. As with the Play-in, the top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. The playoffs will then be contested via use of the AFL final eight system, which means the top four teams will get two chances, and the bottom four teams will only get one.
Just before the RLCS World Championship, Rocket League will head to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the 2025 edition of the Esports World Cup.
An event with a whopping $1,000,000 prize pool, it may not be part of the RLCS season, but the prize pool alone is enough to make every player hunger to write their name into EWC history.

The final big event on the Rocket League calendar prior to the RLCS World Championship, it serves as an excellent marker of which team is on top right before the biggest Rocket League event of the year. This was evident last year, the EWC was won by Team BDS, who then went on to win the RLCS World Championship 2024.
A 16-team event, the teams are split into four groups of four where GSL will be used. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, where a single-elimination, BO7 bracket will decide the victors.
