What's better than one mech? A ton of them. Mecha BREAK released with 15, which is already plenty, especially when they play out so differently from each other.
The question is, which is the best? What are the best supports, attackers, defenders? Here is our Mecha BREAK tier list with all Strikers ranked to answer all those questions and more.
S-TIER Strikers
Inferno: Ultra-Heavy Attacker
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast. It is a bummer that Inferno isn't unlocked for free from the start, but don't worry, he is the only Striker we consider S tier from the three you need to buy. If you're not opposed to spending money, you can immediately get your hands on Inferno by purchasing the Matrix Contract, Mecha BREAK's battle pass.
Strictly F2P players can also acquire it eventually, as long as they can accrue 15000 Mission Tokens, which isn't too time-consuming if they focus on completing quests.
Inferno has the highest single-target DPS out of all characters in the game, has great mobility for a Ultra-Heavy and can defend himself relatively well. Like all other Ultra-Heavy Strikers, he truly shines when he is being pocketed by a Support, but he is still excellent without any support.
Inferno Abilities
- Charged Splitter (Left-Click)- Fires a scatter shot of 30 plasma beams, dealing Direct Energy Damage. Hold down Main Weapon and Sidearm keys (left and right-click) to charge and fire a beam that deals high Direct Energy Damage.
- Split Emitter (Key 1)- Fires plasma beams, inflicting continuous Energy damage. Targets up to 12 units and can intercept enemy missiles. Press again to deactivate early and reduce reload time.
- Focused Emitter (Key 2)- Fires supercharged plasma from drones, inflicting significant continuous Energy damage, Damage increases with prolonged emission. Press again to deactivate early and reduce reload time.
- Booster Kit (Key 3)- Cancels and grants immunity to immobilization and stagger. Boosts Energy and Fluid Armor Regen. Press again to deactivate early and reduce cooldown. Evading creates illusion, making the Striker immune to lock-on.
Direct Damage: Directly damages HP bars. Extremely effective versus light Strikers.
Luminae: Light Support
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast. If you've played even just a couple hours of Mecha BREAK, you'll have noticed that Luminae is by far the support you'll run into the most. That's for two reasons: she is extremely good, and she also deals damage.
She essentially functions like Overwatch 2's Moira, featuring two Modes, Support and Corruption. All of Luminae abilities change when swapping between modes.
Support mode, as the name implies, focuses on helping teammates through heals and armor repairs; Corruption mode transforms those same abilities into harmful ones for enemies, foregoing its friendly benefits in the process.
Her versatility, survivability, and mobility make her the strongest Support in the game, and one of the best Strikers in Mecha BREAK as a whole.
Luminae Abilities
- Drone Launcher (Mouse 1 and 2)- Support: Deploys tracking drones to instantly restore a portion of a friendly unmit's HP and provide continuous repairs. Corruption: Deploys tracking drone on enemy units, dealing instant and continuous Physical damage that bypasses Fluid Armor.
- Haze Diffuser (Key 1)- Support: Deploys a smoke screen that continuously repairs friendly units within range. Corruption: Deploys a smoke screen that continuously inflicts Physical damage to enemy units within range, bypassing Fluid Armor.
- Support Jetwing (Key 2)- Support: Cancels Immobilization and Stagger while increasing Mobility and Energy Regen. Grans nearby allied units half of thje buffs. Corruption: Cancels Immobilization and Stagger while increasing Mobility and Energy Regen. Disrupts enemy fire control within range.
- Corruption Mode (Key 3)- Switches all weapons to Corruption Mode, enabling them to target enemy units.
Tricera: Ultra-Heavy Defender
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast.Anyone who has played at least one game of Mecha BREAK will have bumped into at least one Tricera, but more likely two of them. This absolute unit is described as a Defender, but he truly does it all.
Triceras are extremely difficult to kill, yet feature two Gatling Guns that absolutely melt any Light Striker in their line of sight. While they're still vulnerable to Brawlers like most Ultra-Heavies, they can parry melee attacks with well timed shields, or stagger their boost attack using the Howitzer.
A Jack of all Trades, master of most.
Tricera Abilities
- Gatling Gun (Mouse 1)- Rapidly fires armor-piercing ammunition, dealing Ballistic damage. Intercepts incoming missiles when no target is locked-on.
- Heavy Gatling Gun (Mouse 2)- Rapidly fires armor-piercing ammunition, dealing higher Ballistic damage with higher Fire Rate. Intercepts incoming missiles when no target is locked-on.
- Repair Drone (Key 1)- Deploys escort drones to continuously repair friendly units within range.
- Fortress Form Module (Key 2)- Cancels stagger and grants immunity. Becomes a stationary decoy with a shield that blocks all attacks. Drones intercept missiles. The shield turns invincible briefly upon reaching its damage limit. Parries melee attacks within 2 seconds of activation.
- Howitzer (Key 3)- Launches a grenade, dealing Blast damage and staggering enemies.
Welkin: Heavy Brawler
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast. While he might not have ULTRA in his name, Welkin does look the part. This Heavy Brawler is an absolute nightmare for anything that can't fly, or even the fliers who make the mistake of touching the ground at the wrong moment.
Welkin focused mostly on melee damage, but his Heavy Howitzer packs a punch. Featuring a hard-cc ability and an incredibly powerful shield, this is the Striker that can have the biggest solo impact in Mecha BREAK, and you'll see a lot of these pop-up as MVPs in your games.
Welkin Abilities
- Heavy Battleaxe (Mouse 1)- Bypasses Fluid Armor, dealing Physical damage to a target's HP, staggering and knocking it back. Performs an unparryable downward slash when targeting low-altitude units while airborne. Press to initiate a boost attack, and hold to unleash an unparryable spinning heavy strike.
- Heavy Howitzer (Mouse 2)- Rapid-fires grenades, causing Blast damage.
- Dueling Forcefield (Key 1)- Deploys stationary drones that create a Statis Field, blocking attacks and trapping enemies. Releases a tracking drone on an enemy in the field, staggering them and dealing Physical damage that bypasses Fluid Armor.
- Jamming Pulse Ejector (Key 2)- Releases interference pulse that destroys drones, stagger enemies, and blinds those facing the Striker.
- Defense Field (Key 3)- Deploys a Defense Field that blocks frontal attacks, slows enemies, and emits and interference smoke screen to nullify Energy damage and greatly reduce direct Energy damage.
A-Tier Strikers
Alysnes: Medium Attacker
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast.Alysnes sounds perfect on paper, but just cannot make it to S-Tier in this Ultra-Heavy meta. This Medium Brawler shines by being a Jack Of All Trades, but he doesn't excel in any areas.
Functioning like the tutorial Striker, Alysnes does a bit of everything. He has a powerful ranged weapon, a strong melee weapon, a shield, AOE damage, and a self replenishment of armor.
Armor Purge makes him much more durable than all other Medium Strikers, but that isn't enough to make him better than any of the Ultra-Heavies, especially when healers are involved.
Alysnes Abilities
- Energy Autocannon (Mouse 1)- Rapid-fires 10-shot plasma volley, dealing Energy damage.
- Complex Shield (Mouse 2)- Blocks all frontal attacks. Regen stops when activated. Parries melee attacks within 2 seconds of activation. Upon a parry, automatically counter-attacks if Battle Halberd is equipped.
- Battle Halberd (Key 1)- Switches Main Weapon to Battle Halberd, bypassing Fluid Armor, dealing Physical damage to target's HP while staggering and knocking it back. Performs unparryable downward slash while airborne, targeting low-altitude units.
- Gauss Cannons (Key 2)- Fires two high-explosive darts, dealing Blast damage while staggering and knocking back targets.
- Airdrop Kit (Key 3)- Summons airdrop to replenish Armor and weapons. Cancels stagger and grants immunity. Activates a temporary defense field to block ranged attacks after equipping. Parries melee attacks and staggers the attacker when the defense field is activated. Requires post-Armor Purge.
- Armor Purge- When Alysnes' armor runs out of durability, the Striker will purge its armor, leaving only the Energy Autocannon and Induced Sword usable. Armor Purge staggers and knocks back nearby enemies. For a few seconds after Armor Purge, dodging will break enemy lock-ons and create an optical illusions. Mobility is increased at the cost of HP and overall Defense during this form.
Aquila: Heavy Sniper
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast. The concept of a Heavy Sniper sounds weird, but it is actually pretty simple. Aquila is slow, but quite tanky. To make up for their lack of mobility, they can fly almost infinitely, making them a menace against teams that lack a Sniper of their own, or a flier.
While Aquila deals a ton of damage, they are vulnerable if they're not being pocketed by a Support, which they likely won't be as they spent most matches flying.
Aquila Abilities
- Mobile Beam Cannon (Mouse 1)- Fires plasma beam, inflicting Direct Energy Damage
- Sniper Mode (Mouse 2)- Activates Sniper Scope, increasing the Mobile Beam Cannon's Lock-on Range.
- Pulse Claw (Key 1)- Releases tracking drones that lock onto a target, immobilizing it and halting Energy Regen. Immobilization duration shortens against heavier enemies, but interference lingers after the effect ends.
- Airborne Kit (Key 2)- Grants hovering ability, enhancing Air Mobility. Operates on independent Energy Gauge. Aquila becomes untargetable by enemies during air evade.
- Multilock Radar (Key 3)- Increases Lock-on Range and Reticle Size. Boosts Lock Speed and Reload Speed for Main Weapon, locks onto six enemy units, firing at each one once.
Falcon: Light Attacker
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast.Falcon can be an S-Tier, but only at the highest ranks. The most difficult part of Mecha BREAK is aerial control. It is easy to panic and completely waste an entire energy bar, or to be too comfortable and get one-shot by a Sniper, or to be just bad at flying and wasting a ton of time correcting course.
As a Light Attacker, Falcon's mistakes are usually punished by instant-death. Yet, when piloted well, Falcon is extremely hard to catch or even damage at all, excels at dealing with Light Strikers, namely fellow fliers, Snipers, or Supports.
Falcon is also the fastest flier in the game, meaning that it can have unmatched impact in Operation Verge maps that require quick movement. It is definitely a high risk pick, but the reward can be massive.
Falcon Abilities
- Autocannon (Mouse 1)- Rapid-fires armor-piercing shots, dealing Ballistic damage. Mag Size and Fire Rate are increased when in Winged Form.
- Light Missile Launcher (Mouse 2)- Fires 8 light missiles at locked targets, dealing Blast damage.
- Recon Kit (Key 1)- Boosts Detection and Lock-on Range, ignores terrain, stealth, Corite Haze and Corite Pulse Storm. Continuously marks nearby enemies, displaying them to friendly units.
- Winged Form (Key 2)- Switches to flight mode for enhanced Mobility, Detection Range, and Lock-on Range. Grants immunity to enemy lock-on during Evades
- Heavy Missile Launcher (Key 3)- Fires heavy missiles, causing Blast damage. Winged Form required.
Flight Mode- Mecha BREAK has a few Strikers that can fly, allowing them to stay in the air for much longer than other Strikers, with a much lower energy consumption. The controls are considerably different when in Flight Mode.
Hurricane: Ultra-Heavy Defender
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast. This Ultra-Heavy Striker didn't manage to squeeze into the top of our Mecha BREAK tier list, but it should not be underestimated. Not only does Hurricane dish a ton of damage, it is one of the most annoying Defenders to deal with.
Snipers will rage while facing this Striker, and anyone overly-reliant on lock-on will suffer. Hurricane excels at maps that require defending points as it is extremely difficult to deal with, especially when paired with a fellow Ultra-Heavy Striker.
Hurricane Abilities
- Energy Blaster (Mouse 1)- Fires plasma blast, dealing continuous Area and Energy damage. Hold to charge and fire plasma blasts, which keep affecting the target area.
- Decoy Drone (Mouse 2)- Deploys stationary drones that generate a Stasis Field, blocking all attacks and hindering enemy movement. Parries melee attacks within 2 seconds of release.
- Defense Filed Drone (Key 1)- Deploys stationary drones that create a wide defense field, blocking long-range attacks. Auto-recalls when out of range.
- Turret Drone (Key 2)- Deploys stationary drones that fires plasma beams at nearby enemies, dealing Energy damage and intercepting missiles. Auto-recalls when out of range.
- Focused Emitter (Key 3)- Fires suprcharged plasma from the drone, inflicting continuous Energy damage. Damage increases with prolonged emission. Locks onto up to 4 units.
Narukami: Light Sniper
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast.Narukami is S-Tier for any players with great aim that come from FPS games. Despite being a Light Striker, it requires little to no movement technique, is very easy to pick up and deals a ton of damage.
With that being said, if you don't have good aim and are entirely reliable on lock-on, you should just play Aquila. Narukami excels in maps with long lines of sight, allowing a lot of shots with minimal movement.
This Striker requires a lot of map knowledge to master, but it becomes a nightmare when mastered. Narukami is extremely squishy, though, and can be entirely negated if its pilot isn't good enough, or if the enemy is focusing them hard.
Narukami Abilities
- Charged Beam Cannon (Mouse 1)- Fires plasma beam, inflicting Direct Energy Damage.
- Sniper Mode (Mouse 2)- Activates Sniper Scope, increasing Lock-on Range and allowing the player to charge Beam Cannon shots to deal a lot more damage.
- Decoy Drone (Key 1)- Deploys stationary drone to generate a mass projection decoy that coordinates with the Striker, dealing minor damage to enemies and putting the Striker into stealth-mode when within range. Stealth is disabled during attacks. Auto-recalls when out of range. Up to 2 drones can be deployed simultaneously.
- Traction Grappler (Key 2)- Cancels stagger and fires the Grappler to pull the Striker to the target location and enter stealth. Pulling a locked target causes the Striker to leap over and stagger it. Firing at vertical terrain lets the Striker hang onto it.
- Optical Camo Drone (Key 3)- Deploys stationary drones that put all allies within range into stealth. Stealth is disabled when attacking. Drones auto-recall when out of range. Instantly breaks enemy lock-ons upon release.
Panther: Medium Brawler
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast. The only thing that keeps the Panther from climbing higher in our Mecha BREAK tier list is the fact that it is one-dimensional. Panther is melee-only, and is the sole Striker to have this limitation. That prevents us from placing it in the S-Tier.
With that being said, Panther is one of the strongest Strikers in the entire game, but this melee-only aspect means that it depends on teammates more than our S-Tier choices. If the enemy team has one or two good fliers and your team isn't dealing with them, you'll have a rough go.
If you're free to tear through the enemy team's ground forces, and especially if you're getting occasinally healed by a support, you can absolutely carry an entire game as Panther.
Panther Abilities:
- Lance (Mouse 1)- Dashes forward and knocks back the target, dealing Physical damage that bypasses Fluid Armor while staggering the target.
- Complex Shield (Mouse 2)- Blocks all frontal attacks. Shield Regen stops when activated. Parries melee attacks within 2 seconds of activation.
- Shield Blade (Key 1)- Switches Sidearm to Induced Sword, which bypasses Fluid Armor, dealing Physical daamge while staggering and knocking back the target. Performs an unparryable downward slash when targeting low-altitude unit while airborne.
- Booster Kit (Key 2)- Immediately and partially restores Energy and Reinforced Complex Shield.
- Reinforced Complex Shield (Key 3)- And additional shield that blocks attacks from all directions. Shield Regen stops when activated.
Pinaka: Medium Support
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast.Pinaka isn't nearly as popular as Luminae, but it is still an excellent Support Striker. It excels when paired with other Supports, and is more forgiving to play than both other healing options currently available.
This Striker doesn't do as much as either of the two other Supports, but is considerably tankier and easier to play. It is difficult to play optimally, though.
Pinaka Abilities
- Rapid Repair Grappler (Mouse 1)- Locks on and fires Grappler at friendly target, continuously repairing ally. Locked target required. Pressing the button again pulls the Striker toward the target.
- Splitter (Mouse 2)- Fires 18 plasma buckshot, dealing Energy damage. When Emergency Support Drone is deployed to a friendly unit, it fires in front of the supported target instead.
- Repair Drone (Key 1)- Deploys stationary drones to continuously repair friendly units within range.
- Cover Airdrop Kit (Key 2)- Deploys a giant shelter that blocks all attacks and hinders enemy movement. Direct hits bypass Fluid Armor and Force Fields, dealing high Physical Damage, knocking back and staggering the target.
- Emergency Support Drone (Key 3)- Deploys tracking drone that repairs an ally, generates a Statis Field to block all attacks, and grants stagger and immobilization immunity.
Stego: Ultra-Heavy Attacker
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast.Don't be mistaken, Stego isn't an S-Tier Ultra-Heavy, but that's only because it has very specific situations in which it can be entirely negated. If maps are too cramped, or if the enemy team is filled with high-mobility Strikers that are too spread-out, Stego feels useless.
In most other situations, though, a well-piloted Stego can dish out the top damage of any game, reaching absurd numbers in the right circumstances. Maps with long lines of sights, especially those who allow Stego to sit on the high ground make this Striker an absolute nightmare to deal with.
Stego Abilities
- Rocket Pod (Mouse 1)- Rapid-fires heavy rockets, causing Blast damage.
- Rapid Rocket Pod (Mouse 2)- Rapid-fires heavy rockets, inflicting Blast damage.
- Jamming Haze Diffuser (Key 1)- Deploys smoke screen to reduce Energy damage and disrupt enemy units. Enhances Fluid Armor Regen for allies, while making them untargetable by enemies.
- Turret Form (Key 2)- Cancels stagger and grants immunity. Striker becomes stationary, boosting Lock-on Range and Reticle Size. Deploys Statis Field Drones to block frontal attacks and slow enemies. The Field becomes temporarily invincible after hitting its damage limit. Boosts Rocket Pod Fire Rate and Reload Speed.
- Micro Missile (Key 3)- Fires 36 micro missiles, dealing Blast damage. Requires Turret Form and locked target.
B-Tier Strikers
Serenith: Light Support
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast.Serenith is a weird Striker. It's described as a Light Support, but it doesn't play like a Support at all. Both Luminae and Pinaka are healers, but Serenith doesn't actually heal teammates or recharge their Fluid Armor.
Instead, this Striker functions more like a Light Attacker with more utility tools than most. Its biggest impact comes through being a nuisance to enemy players and using its Recon Kit at key moments. Serenith requires too weird of a playstyle to make work, and feels outshone by most other Strikers.
Serenith Abilities
- Energy Autocannon (Mouse 1)- Fires plasma, dealing Energy damage. Hold to charge and fire plasma shots for Direct Energy Damage. Fully charged shots also cause Area damage.
- Orbital Targeting System (Mouse 2)- Fires a guided plasma beam, dealing Direct Energy Damage. Hold to charge for continuous Energy damage, which also affects all units within the effective range.
- Disruption Grappler (Key 1)- Fires the Grappler at a locked enemy target, confusing its friend-or-foe identification, causing it to recognize your allies as friendly and unlinked enemies as hostile.
- Disruptor (Key 2)- Increases Mobility, Grants the Striker immunity to enemy lock-on. The effect lingers briefly after the weapon is deactivated.
- Recon Kit (Key 3)- Boosts Main Weapon and Sidearm Detection and Lock-on Range. Ignores terrain, Corite Haze, and Corite Pulse Storm when detecting and locking onto enemies.
Skyraider
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast.Skyraider's biggest problem is that a better version of it already exists in our Mecha BREAK tier list, it's called Falcon. We understand what Amazing Seasun Games was aiming for with this duo of Strikers, but they didn't make them different enough.
As it stands, there are no situations in which the Skyraider outperforms the Falcon. Skyraider is tankier, but not tankier enough, and anyone playing a flier well will be able to depend on their mobility to survive, not a bit of extra HP. There are a few maps in which teams can run both Skyraider and Falcon together, but outside those niche situations, there's no point in picking the Medium Attacker over its Light counterpart.
Skyraider Abilities
- Energy Autocannon (Mouse 1)- Fires 2 consecutive plasma shots, dealing Energy damage. Hold to charge and unleash Direct Energy Damage.
- Energy Missile (Mouse 2)- Launches Plasma Energy Missile at target. The explosions deal continuous Energy damage (and can also harm friendly units).
- Jamming Missile (Key 1)- Fires 6 Jamming Missiles at nearby enemies. The explosion creates a smoke screen that nullifies Energy damage and greatly reduces Direct Energy Damage. Can lock on up to 6 targets, once per unit.
- Aerial Assault Form (Key 2)- Switches to flight mode for enhanced Mobility, Detection Range, and Lock-on Range (Main Weapon and Sidearm). Releases escort drones that automatically intercept missiles. Grans immunity to enemy lock-on during Evades.
- Missile Dispenser (Key 3)- Deploys a missile dispenser to a target location, releasing 16 micro missiles that inflict Blast damage on nearby enemies. Requires Aerial Assault Form.
Stellaris: Light Brawler
Image Via Amazing Seasun Games. Screenshot Captured By Blast.Much like our other B-Tier examples, Stellaris struggles to find a place in our Mecha BREAK Tier List, because it doesn't really have a place in the game as it currently stands. Stellaris excels at two things: melee versus melee combat, and demolishing squishy targets.
The problem with these two things is that there isn't much melee combat in the game currently, and if a Stellaris runs into a Welkin it will be smashed to the ground. Demolishing squishy targets is a great perk to have, but it is one that most Attackers have, while also doing a lot more with the rest of their kit.
Stellaris does fill a niche role which is as a melee that can hard-counter fliers since its melee-focused damage ignores the fact that they can break lock-on. But with only three fliers in Mecha BREAK currently, and with no more than two in most games, it is hard to justify picking it over other Attackers.
Stellaris Abilities
- Basic Warblade (Mouse 1)- Bypasses Fluid Armor, dealing Physical damage while staggering and knocking the target back. Performs an unparryable downward slash when targeting low-altitude unit while airborne.
- Assault Warblade (Mouse 2)- Launches shockwaves that bypass Fluid Armor, dealing Physical damage and staggering the target. Hold for up to 2 seconds to parry melee attacks. Successfully parrying automatically triggers a Spinning Slash counterattack.
- Composite Tactical Claw (Key 1)- Grappler Launcher fires a grappling hook at a locked target, slowing it down and reducing its Evade distance by half. Palm Blaster pulls the Striker toward and slightly shovers the target, then deals Physical damage that bypasses Fluid Armor while staggering the target.
- Optical Camouflage (Key 2)- Cancels stagger and enters stealth mode.
- Sword Drone (Key 3)- Deploys tracking drones on enemy unit, disrupting it and dealing Physical damage that bypasses Fluid Armor, Force Fields, and Shields.
