Going to Riverside Station
Teleport to Riverside Station in western Qinghe and follow the quest marker to find a group of NPCs. Talk to Old Jin to move the story along. After some dialogues, head to the dock where the Mirage Boat is.

Then go to the bow and eavesdrop on the Zither Keeper to start a deduction puzzle. Start by linking the two starting options. Then connect “Master Wen Wuhen spent a fortune creating coin fireworks for the birthday banquet” with “Strange Fish”.
Finally, link the remaining clues. After this, return to Officer Nan and go back to the second floor to trigger another cutscene.
The Chase and Investigation
The quest becomes more linear now. You will chase Old Jin across small boats using Cloud Steps. After defeating him, the Mirage Boat will disappear. Use Cloud Steps to follow other small boats and talk to NPCs like the Southern Wayfarer, Ouyang Wuxiang, and a villager.
Follow the markers to a new area on land and investigate footprints using Wind Sense. You will also hear a mysterious voice, which you can track with Wind Sense, leading to a meeting with a Mysterious Person.
Final confrontation
After talking to the Mysterious Person, return to Officer Nan. You will be sent back to the Mirage Boat to face Jun Bujian, who is revealed as the Phantom Thief.
