How to start the Wandering Tale

Head to the Bamboo Abode area. You’ll find a small shrine with a kid named Rongrong standing near it. Talk to her and she’ll give you three tasks. Each task gives you a tablet that you’ll bring back to her.

Trial tasks explained

You need to finish three trials. You can do them in any order, so pick whatever feels easiest first.

Trial: Fell the thickest tree

Look toward the waterfall near the shrine, then head left. There’s one big tree that stands out because it’s not bamboo. Hit it until it falls. Once it drops, pick up the tablet on the ground.

Trial: Hunt the highest bird

Climb to one of the highest points around Bamboo Abode. When you reach a good height, look up for birds circling above. Use your bow or any ranged tool to hit one. When the bird goes down, you’ll get another tablet.

Trial: Climb the ladderless tower

Find the tower-like ruin near the shrine. There’s no ladder, so you’ll need to climb walls and use your movement skills. Reach the top and collect the third tablet.

Completing the Wandering Tale

Once you have all three tablets, return to Rongrong at the shrine. Talk to her and use the Give option. This completes the wandering tale and updates it in your Journal.

You’ll also grab some helpful rewards such as Echo Jade, Five Dynasties Coins, Character EXP, and Qinghe Exploration Points.
