Although Seasun opted to not follow the more common nomenclature, Mecha BREAK does have a Battlepass. It does work differently than most, but it will definitely be worth purchasing for those who plan on playing the game frequently.
Whether you’re on the hunt for cosmetics, or hoping to purchase one of the three Strikers available in the shop, you’ll be getting a lot more Mission Tokens. Here’s the Mecha BREAK Battlepass, explained.
At the time of writing this, Mecha BREAK's Battlepass, which is called Matrix Contract, is on sale for 40% off, which puts it at 12,99 EUR. There is no information on when the sale will end, but when it does, the Matrix Contract will cost 21,55€.
The Mecha BREAK Battlepass, Matrix Contract, will be functioning for the entirety of the first season of the game, Season 0: Rain of Fire. It kicked off July 1st, and will run for three months, ending in October 1st.
Although the Matrix Contract technically is a Battlepass, it functions quite differently from a typical one. After purchasing the Contract, players will get three types of rewards, as shown above.
As soon as you purchase the Battlepass, you'll unlock INFERNO, a Ultra-Heavy Attacker Striker. If you had previously unlocked it, you will instead be gifted 15000 Mission Tokens, which is what you originally paid for INFERNO.
For the entirety of Season 0, you'll also get a 200% boost to all Mission Tokens received from completing missions in all three modes and weeklies. Similar to other games, this boost applies retroactively, so if you only purchase the Matrix Contract at the end of the season, you'll get all accumulated Mission Tokens from all completed quests throughout Rain of Fire
Furthermore, you'll get three Cargo Rocket Beacon 1 every week to use in Mashmak, exclusive Matrix Selection items available only to Matrix Contract holders, and a special name card.
Mission Tokens can be used to purchase Matrix Selection items, which range from Strikers, Mashmak exclusive items, Pilot Outfits, Weapon Skins, and more. All these items are seasonal, so they will be gone after Rain of Fire ends, available only through the Matrix Marketplace, where players can sell items for Corite, Mecha BREAK's premium currency.
Alongside INFERNO, you can also purchase SERENITH, a Light Support and STELLARIS, a Light Brawler, for 15000 Mission Tokens each. You can also three skins, all in the Scorching Fire line:
Lastly, the Matrix Selections also sells a lootbox for 300 Mission Tokens, which is quite cheap. These Supply Crates will always get you a Corite Ore, an item that you can use to receive Mission Tokens. As far as we can tell, they range from a rarity that nets you just 20 Mission Tokens, all the way to one which gets you 200. You'll also always get a random, non-season Striker Pattern.
Outside of these two options, you need to get insanely lucky for any other reward. You have a 2.5% chance to get one of four Seasonal Patterns, 0.12% chance to get a Seasonal Weapon Skin, and a 0.01% chance to receive a voucher that can either be used to unlock the Leonie Fèvre pack (which costs 47,99€), or sold on the Matrix Marketplace.
Seasonal Items that can drop inside these Supply Crates cannot be purchased in the Matrix Selections tab, so your only two options of getting your hands on one is to either get lucky and receive them from a crate, or purchase them at the Matrix Marketplace from other players.
