Everything you need to know about Crownfall IV: The Spires of Skywrath
After many delays and a data miner leak, the long-awaited Crownfall Act IV: The Spires of Skywrath has finally arrived. It includes a new cavern crawl map, a new bundle, some treasures, and the promised new hero.
With the release of this climactic act of Crownfall, the lore surrounding how Skywrath Mage and Vengeful Spirit obtained their Arcanas is now complete.
The Lore
The Crownfall event centers around the love story between Vengeful Spirit (Shendelzare in the story) and Skywrath Mage (Dragonus in the story).
Its main focus is Shen's quest to reclaim her throne of the Eyrie Kingdom after her sister, Queen Imperia, staged a coup against her.
In the first chapter, players are introduced to Scree'Auk, the god of the flightless, who gave the remainder of her powers to Skywrath Mage.
As a result, Dragonus was able to use his magic without relying on Queen Imperia.
The first thing he did with his newfound powers was resurrect his lover, Shen.
Together, they set out to find an army that could help them overthrow Queen Imperia's rule over the Eyrie Kingdom.
The only army capable of matching the Queen's Guard was The Kazurai. However, Queen Imperia was aware of this and hunted them down to the last soldier.
Fearing their demise, The Kazurai went into hiding.
When they learned that the Queen's army was closing in, the two leaders of The Kazurai split up, each taking part of the army in different directions to ensure their survival.
In the second act, Dragonus tracked down one of the Kazurai leaders, Kraw. However, he was injured in the battle of Hell's Basin, and by that time, his army had already been lost.
Despite this setback, his bravery did not go unnoticed, as the Oglodi army, led by Sorla Khan, offered their assistance to Skywrath Mage in the quest.
In the third act, Shen tracked down another Kazurai leader, Kez. Along the way to finding him, she met several allies.
After defeating a dragon that had been terrorizing a village, they continued their journey to The Eyrie, prepared to join the final battle.
What Crownfall:The Spires of Skywrath is About
In this climactic act of the Crownfall event, the allied groups arrive at The Eyrie and ignite the final uprising.
Players join these three groups as they raid the Eyrie Kingdom, aiming to overthrow Queen Imperia.
Much like the previous acts, Crownfall Act IV: The Spires of Skywrathcomes with its own map for players to explore.
It also features tokens, which players must collect to advance to the next sections of the map.
This time, the tokens represent various elements—ranging from emotions to terrains.
There are two side quests locked behind a paywall, similar to earlier acts.
However, this time there's only one Pathfinder Pack, which unlocks both side quests simultaneously, though it costs twice as much.
The Rewards
The climactic act of Crownfall also features its own set of rewards for players who complete the quest.
Upon completion, players will receive the exclusive Juggernaut skin, Primal Prowl, a showcaseable emoticon, The Servants of Scree'Auk style unlock for Vengeful Spirit's Arcana, and the Sovereigns of Skywrath style unlock for Skywrath Mage.

The latest Crownfall Act also introduces new mini-games. However, the popular mini-games from previous acts are noticeably absent.
Valve has announced that the final act of Crownfall will last for three months, concluding on January 15th.
