Xtreme Gaming and GLPYH are eliminated from BLAST SLAM VII Copenhagen after a disappointing performance in the group stage. GLPYH finished last, while XG had a close contest with Tundra for the second-to-last position.
LGD (ex-HEROIC) and PARIVISION secured the top two spots in the group stage and have directly qualified for the semi-finals. Both teams went 8:3 in the group stage and showcased exemplary skills in their games.
LGD finished in first place, defeating PARIVISION and BetBoom in their head-to-head matchups, while PARIVISION finished second, followed closely by BetBoom Team in third place. Speaking of which, BetBoom and Team Falcons have secured their spots in the upper-bracket quarterfinals.
Both of them await their opponents from the Last Chance Qualifiers.
Six teams will fight it out in the BLAST SLAM VII Last Chance Qualifiers, scheduled to begin later today. But only two teams will qualify for the playoffs.
Team Spirit faces OG, whilst Aurora Gaming goes up against Tundra Esports in the first round of the LCQ. The winners will advance to round two to face Team Yandex and Team Liquid, respectively. The day will close out with the final two teams being determined to compete in the playoffs.
The winner of LCQ #1 will face Team Falcons in the playoffs, while the winner of LCQ #2 will face BetBoom in the playoffs.
Unlike the group stage, all series will be played in a best-of-three format. You can expect the games to go down to the wire.
After the conclusion of the LCQ, teams will head straight to Copenhagen to compete at the BLAST Studios in a LAN setting.
