BLAST Reveals Qualifier Dates for the Rest of the Year’s SLAM Tournaments

Following a thrilling BLAST SLAM VII, where Team Yandex defeated LGD Gaming to lift the coveted trophy and $400,000, BLAST has announced the dates for the remainder of this year's BLAST SLAM tournaments.

The 8th edition of BLAST SLAM is up first, with open qualifiers starting on August 26.

For BLAST SLAM IX, open qualifiers begin on September 9 for EU and SEA, while the CN qualifier starts on September 17.

• Open: 17/09 + 18/09
• Closed: 19/09 + 20/09

Bigger tournament

For the upcoming tournaments, BLAST is expanding the competition to 16 teams and introducing a reworked online stage with BO3 matches, before bringing the final six teams to the BLAST Arena Studios in Malta for a four-day live Finals.

BLAST SLAM VIII features a combined $750,000 USD prize pool, split between prize money and team earnings.
