Dota 2 used to be known for its in-game toxicity. In other games, developers tried to clear the toxicity. However, for Dota 2, Valve took a different approach. They tried their best "to handle" the in-game toxicity.
In recent years, they added some features so "players can express themselves freely" in Dota 2.
The features include in-game tips that players can give to their opponents and allies "when they make great plays".
Moreover, they added hero chat-wheel lines, which players use to gain a psychological advantage in their matches. Hero chat wheels, when used in the right scenarios, can provoke and stir players' emotions.
These chatwheel lines are unlockable with a Dotaplus subscription. As your levels progress, more chat lines will be unlocked.
From flaming their teammates, taunting and trashing opponents, to hilarious lines fitted for particular scenarios; here are the heroes with some of the best chat wheel lines in Dota 2.
Every chat wheel line on Anti-Mage is a testament to the opponent's will. This hero's voice lines, when used correctly, can be menacing.
At Silver Tier, you can taunt your enemies after making a beautiful play or getting an easy kill with "Are you even trying". Then, at Gold Tier, there's "A Disappointment", imagine dropping this line after coming on top after a skirmish – literal chills.
If you have an Anti-Mage persona, the Grand Master tier voice line, "This is the part where I embarrass you before you die", would gain your interest.
Drop this line before entering a skirmish, come out on top and watch your opponents do what Puppey did to his pc back in the training room.
Just remember the emphasis on coming out on top.
Though the hero might seem boring, don't let Axe fool you. He's a hero that has one of the coolest voice lines in Dota 2. His Silver Tier chat wheel line, "You deserve nothing", is the best line to spam after getting a kill.
Doing so will increase your opponents' blood pressure. This chat-wheel line can also be used during the laning stage after you deny a creep. Watch your opponent tilt into oblivion.
Bloodseeker may be one of the underrated heroes in Dota 2. However, his chat-wheel lines are bangers! At Gold Tier, his chat-wheel line "Go ahead…run" is a must-use line after a victorious skirmish.
Also, it can be used when he is chasing an opponent.
His Platinum Tier chat wheel line, "Lie down…have a cookie" is a favourite line of many Dota 2 players.
Imagine dropping this line when you're killing an opponent. It can morally destroy them.
Once upon a time, Bristleback used to be a popular hero in Dota 2. Being an overly tanky hero, BB's voice lines are suitable too. It will make his opponents want to kill him but they can't.
If they won't, there's a Gold Tier chat wheel line, "Oh, you want some of this… eh?" to taunt them into hitting him.
This Silver Tier voice line, "You were no match", from Chaos Knight is really a good one to use against your opponents to tilt them.
After outplaying them, spamming this line could increase your opponents' blood pressure. It's also a good one to make a statement.
This voice line is also not that hard to get as it unlocks at Silver Tier for CK.
Imagine this scenario, you are winning a match. However, your team messed up a skirmish and Dawnbreaker was on your opposing team.
After coming out on top for only a single skirmish, they start spamming "Even at a fraction of my best, I outshine you immeasurably," which is the hero's Gold Tier chat wheel line.
By doing so, your team became tilted and started to feed. In the blink of an eye, you lost the match.
Tough luck, mate.
Supports often get killed a lot in Dota 2 as they are the most squishy heroes. Disruptor's Gold Tier chat wheel line "They're trying to kill me" is the best line for supports.
It fits several situations perfectly.
This line is best used after juking an opponent or turning around a skirmish as a Disruptor.
It describes the scenarios hilariously and is like taunting the opponents.
You're stomping your opponents, and they tried to kill you. However, you turned it around, getting multiple kills on your opponents. In this case, Drow Ranger's Gold Tier chat wheel line "Amateur" is the best-suited one for the scenario.
Not only does it make a statement, but it's also a direct flame towards your opponents.
Ember Spirit is one of the heroes that have the most brutal Chat Wheel lines in Dota 2. Some can taunt, some can flame, and some can even demoralize his opponents.
However, his one Chat Wheel line stands above the rest. It's his Gold Tier Chat Wheel line, "What did you learn?".
It can be used in most situations perfectly. Turn around a gank – drop this line, win a skirmish – drop this line, outplay your opponents? – do the same.
However, there is one thing you will need to do – just try not to get killed when they redirect their anger on you. If you can do that, you can mercilessly spam this Chat Wheel line.
Faceless Void may not have a face but he has a great sense of humour.
His Gold Tier Chat Wheel line: "I can't bear to look" is a great example of this. This line can be used to flame his opponents.
After an outplay, he can spam this to tilt his opponents. It also works as a double-edged sword because after FV made a misplay, this same line can be used to acknowledge his mistake.
We all face some brain-dead teammates in some of our matches. Sometimes it can be hard to deal with them.
Fortunately, if you are playing Hoodwink, her Gold Tier Chat wheel line, "Did you fall out of the nest as a baby?" will make things easier.
Your trash teammate feeds an enemy – drop this line. This chat wheel line is really handy in many situations.
It can also be used offensively to mock your opponents. Hoodwink is already an annoying hero and this line will make her the focus of the game!
Invoker might be one of the hardest heroes to master in Dota 2.
However, the practice is worth it because Invoker has one of the coolest Chat wheel lines to taunt his opponents. A really good Invoker player is a PITA on all sides.
His Gold Tier chat wheel line "Fight Me" is a good way to taunt his opponents and surmount his mastery in the match.
You have a gazillion spells to dodge and turn against your enemies. If they come to you, you can get under their skin by spamming this Gold Tier chat wheel, while you Sunstrike Ks across the map.
Lina is another hero that can mentally harass her opponents. Her Silver Tier chat wheel line, "That wasn't too bright" is a perfect one to use when her opponents make a misplay against her.
Doing so will be like calling out your opponents as noobs! Just remember – Lina is a glass cannon hero.
It will take some time for players to master Morphling. However, the chat-wheel lines on this hero are fantastic for any situation. At Silver Tier, you have "You're in over your head".
Using this after outplaying an opponent will surely make them drive over the edge.
The Gold Tier chat wheel line "The tide has turned!" is another perfect one to use after you win a skirmish in an uphill match.
Then there's this absolute banger, "You're washed up" which is a Master Tier chat wheel line. Using this line will not only tilt your opponents but also destroy their will to play Dota 2.
Nyx Assasin is one of the most annoying heroes in Dota 2 and his chat wheel lines reflect this too.
At Silver Tier, he has a "Talentless" chat wheel line which can be used to mess with the mental of his opponents.
Not only this will make them tilt, but it will also surely make them overcommit in skirmishes and you can spam this line to tilt them more.
Oracle has one of the most hilarious self-deprecating Chat wheel lines in Dota 2. At Silver Tier, he has "I want to die" as a Chat wheel option.
This can be spammed when he makes a terrible play.
The better use of this Chat Wheel line is when the opponent makes a play so bad that you can spam it to embarrass them.
There are many heroes with savage Chat wheels in Dota 2 and Phantom Lancer is one of them.
His Silver Tier Chat wheel line, "Such simple minds" can cause havoc on the opposing teams after a juke.
At Gold Tier, he has "Now this is just silly".
Drop this after an outplay and watch your opponents trying to save their faces.
Shadow Fiend is one of the skill-based heroes in Dota 2. He comes prepared with Chat Wheel lines to showcase his superiority.
At Silver Tier, there's "Outplayed".
Many players use this line on SF a lot after denying a whole creep wave during the laning stage to tilt their opponents, making a statement.
Topson is the one who makes Zeus's Chat wheel lines famous. His Silver Tier line "Wait for it" became a thing to fear because of what Topson did to his opponent during a match.
Topson used this line before he outplayed an opponent, making a statement.
Other games may try to reduce toxicity by implementing strict communication rules.
However, for Valve, they handed players a megaphone and said, "Have at it!". This results in a game where psychological warfare is as important as technical skill, and players can employ a well-timed chat wheel line to throw their opponents off balance-or even provoke them into a rage-quit.
