When the RMRs reached their conclusion, we asked you to vote for the MVPs of each event.
With four events, many new stars began to shine, but who were the stars you voted for as the MVPs?
European RMR A saw a new star rise in the form of CYPHER and Into the Breach, but it wasn’t him who you voted as MVP.
On the side of MOUZ, xertioN also showed why he has become such a key player for the youthful squadron as he put up incredible numbers to help MOUZ climb back from being 1-2 down with victories over Virtus.pro and FaZe.
On NAVI, b1t also showed a glimpse of the levels of the 2021 form that made him a household name as NAVI reinvigorated faith within their roster as they qualified for the Legends stage with a 3-0 record. But he wasn’t the NAVI player you voted for as the MVP of RMR A.
Instead, it was npl. The newest member of NAVI, npl is still finding his feet in tier-one Counter-Strike. At the RMR however, npl looked like one of the most seasoned players in the competition. With a dominant performance to sink FaZe in the 2-0 bracket, npl stepping up was one of the main reasons why NAVI were so successful in Copenhagen.
As a result, he was deservedly voted as the MVP of European RMR A.
EU RMR B saw two teams with incredible online form in recent months qualify for the Major.
The first of these, 9INE, are busy putting Polish CS back on the map, and no one on the team has been putting as much towards that goal as hades. The biggest star as the Polish team took down Vitality in the 2-0 bracket, hades showed why he deserves a place amongst Counter-Strike’s elite.
The second of these two teams is Monte. While sdy might be the biggest name on the team following his time with NAVI, BOROS shined at the RMR: An aggressive player who put the heat on Cloud9 in a best-of-one on Mirage, BOROS is one of the main reasons why we’ll be seeing Monte at the BLAST.tv Paris Major.
The MVP of EU RMR B, however, is none other than Vitality’s French superstar ZywOo. A consistent force for the former-French team in Copenhagen, dominant performances from him against BIG and G2 saw his team qualify for the Legends Stage in third place from their group.
For the most part, the Americas RMR saw players from Brazil shine. They may not have qualified, but both boltz and chelo starred for Imperial as they looked to make the final Major of CS:GO.
On the side of paiN, a team in form of late, skullz put in incredible performances over the 7 maps he played to secure the organisation’s return to Major CS:GO.
Of course, there is no star in Brazil that shines brighter than FURIA’s very own KSCERATO, and he proved once again in Monterrey as to why he has become one of the very best riflers in all of CS:GO.
None of these were the MVP of the event though, instead, you voted for one of North America’s EU imports, Liquid’s YEKINDAR. The Latvian, a star who catapulted the NA team back to trophy contention, displayed his best form in Mexico as Liquid qualified for the Challengers Stage in Paris.
The Asian scene has never been as strong as it is now, so perhaps it was a surprise to see Oceania resurgent as Grayhound qualified from the RMR in first place. As they did so, it was INS who shined for the Aussie squad, once again showing why they are a force to be reckoned with in the region.
For the side of Rare Atom, the Chinese squad who has overtaken TYLOO at the nation's premium team, it was JamYoung who shined as the team heartbreakingly missed out on a Major once again.
Perhaps the best team in the region right now, The Mongolz, saw their third successive Major qualification as Techno shined in Ulaanbaatar. However, he wasn’t voted the MVP of the Asian RMR.
The MVP of the Asian RMR, as voted by fans, was instead D0cC. One of the two streamer stars of the Twisted Minds team, D0cC, put up incredible numbers as Twisted Minds became the shock team of the event, pushing all the other teams close for a surprise Major contention. They didn’t qualify in the end, but D0cC showed why he used to be one of the biggest prospects in EU.
