On Monday 16th December, as per the BLAST Premier 2025 handbook, invites were sent out for the inaugural BLAST Premier Bounty using the Valve Ranking System (VRS) as of Monday 2nd December. We are excited to announce that all teams have accepted their invitations.
As this is the first time seeing the new rules set out by Valve in action, it is important that we share some of the processes that have been undertaken.
Regarding Wildcards, a team is eligible for a Wildcard if they have a roster that complies with the following:
Currently, only Team Falcons will meet this criteria. As a result and in accordance with Valve rules, we have invited the next available teams in the VRS in place of two of our planned Wildcard invites. We have one additional Wildcard selection to invite which we’ll confirm before the end of the year.
An organisation may only field one roster in a tournament. As FURIA had two rosters ranked in the top 28 of the VRS, an invitation was offered to both noting that they were only able to accept one invite - FURIA Fe’s invitation was declined.
