Despite winning their opening two games against BIG and 3DMAX, they soon found themselves in the tense 2-2 bracket after subsequent losses to FaZe and Falcons.
That final group stage game would see them play Virtus.pro, a game which they won 2-1 thanks to solid performances across the board.
As the playoffs began, MOUZ were first pitted against paiN. MOUZ won that game 2-0, but both maps were close as MOUZ closed them out with 13-11 scorelines.
Tat win set them up with a semi-final clash against Astralis, a team unexpectedly in the semis after beating The MongolZ in the quarter-finals.
One of the games of the tournament, the two teams put on a banger, with MOUZ having to come back from a 12-4 deficit to win the opening map 16-14. Astralis then answered back with a comfortable win on Nuke, but MOUZ dominated Ancient to push themselves into the final with a 13-5 win.
Set for a rematch against Falcons in the final, both teams were looking to make history. For MOUZ, it was another opportunity to win their first arena event as a unit, while Falcons were looking to lift their first trophy in CS altogether.
The series opened with a 13-6 win on Dust2 for MOUZ, but Falcons answered back quickly with a 13-4 on Mirage.
However, Spinx and xertioN weren't going to let that get them down, the Israeli duo starred on the next two maps, with each of them putting in top-fragging performances in order to secure MOUZ the trophy after a 13-11 on Nuke and a 13-9 on Ancient.
