Savage Claws are one of the most popular close-range weapons in The Forge right now. They were added in the Frostpire Expanse update and quickly became a top choice for players who want fast attacks and serious damage without spending rare ores.
These Gauntlets are simple to craft, hit quickly, and work well in most fights, which is why many players consider them the best overall option at the moment.

Even though they are not the rarest weapon, they outperform many higher-tier options because of their speed and damage output. Their low ore requirement also makes them easy to go for early or mid-game.
Savage Claws focus on fast combos and steady damage rather than big single hits. Each hit deals 8 HP damage, and attacks come every 0.47 seconds. The weapon has a range of 6 tiles, which is solid for Gauntlets.
When combo timing is included, the DPS sits at around 27, which is currently the highest in the game. When sold, Savage Claws give $205. The acquisition chance is 25 percent when forging specifically for Gauntlets.

From the spawn area, move straight to the forging zone near Sensei Moro. Start the forging minigame and place at least nine ores into the Crucible.
Using nine ores gives you a 65 percent chance to forge Gauntlets. Picking ores with good trait bonuses helps a lot. On average, players get Savage Claws within one to four attempts.

Recipe with Eye Ore, Fireite, and Rivalite uses 3 of each and grants 15 percent physical damage, 20 percent fire damage per hit, and 20 percent critical chance.
Recipe with Suryafal and Voidstar uses 6 Suryafal and 3 Voidstar to give 33 percent critical chance and 15 percent physical damage.
Recipe with Eye Ore and Fireite uses 5 Eye Ore and 4 Fireite, giving 15 percent physical damage and 20 percent fire damage per hit.
The best recipe uses 6 Heavenite and 3 Suryafal and is considered the strongest overall setup for damage-focused builds.
