Better late than never, right? Embark Studios took their sweet time, but they’ve finally confirmed what has changed between the first and second expeditions in ARC Raiders.

Here are the Expedition 2 requirements and rewards, everything that has changed, what hasn’t, and what is only available to players who’re doing back to back expeditions.
The biggest change between the expedition 1 and expedition 2 in ARC Raiders is the reduced cost per extra skill point. Unfortunately, Embark still hasn’t reworked how the system worked for something like loot value extracted from raid.
Instead, they reduced the whopping 1 million coins per extra skill point requirements to 600k. So if you want to get the maximum of five extra skill points, you’ll need to amass 3 million in combined value between your actual money and the items in your stash.
To avoid punishing players who did the first Expedition but failed to reach the previously required 5 million value, Embark Studios have implemented a catch up mechanic in Expedition 2.
Any player who did the first Expedition but failed to get the 5 possible skill points can get the ones they missed with a 50% discount, at 300k per point. Do keep in mind that priority is given to the 5 skill points from Expedition 2, which will not be discounted.
So, if you did the first Expedition and only got, for example, two skill points, you need a total of 3.9 million coins. That is 600k x 5 + 300k x 3. Furthermore, those of you who did the first Expedition also get improved buffs:

And here are all the rewards awaiting you when upon completing the second expedition:
The Expedition 2 window will be open between February 25th and March 1st, so get looting and make that money while you still can. If you want a good money-making strategy, check out our Bird City explainer and stock up on colored ducks.
