One of the most frustrating aspects of Road To Vostok is also what gives it its tension: at any moment you can lose everything you have on you. If you haven’t properly planned ahead, you might be left bereft of equipment and guns.
What now? Our best early game loot route will often get you up to snuff with minimal risk, giving you a smoother experience in Road To Vostok and allowing you to progress without restarting your playthrough.
Given the fact that most people will spend their first hours of play exclusively (or mostly) in the Village, that’s where this route takes place. In a previous piece we gave you directions to the two first NPCs in Road To Vostok, and we’ll go over it again because this route is directly connected to The Generalist.

Starting off in your Cabin shelter, exit to your right and follow the train tracks. You’ll see the warehouse that houses The Generalist on your left, but we’ll not go there yet. Instead, look to your right and you’ll find three tents in the middle of the trees.

Loot those and check for loot on the floor or on the foldable chairs. From there, follow the dirt road by the ocean until you find an area with a bunch of sinks. There are two garbage bags underneath those, and a dead body on the dirt road nearby.
Turn toward the water and loot the dead body on the wooden platform. Check the chairs for loose loot. Now go back to the train tracks and head into the warehouse where The Generalist is. Go through the door and follow these steps:
Exit through the metal doors and you’ll have some Garbage Bags directly to your right. Enter the first garage on your right and loot the Garbage Bags and Boxes inside. Check for loose loot on the shelves.
Get into the next garage, but first loot the Garbage Bags outside. Check the shelves and floor for lose loot and loot the Boxes on the right side.
Enter the third final garage, loot the two Boxes inside and, again, check for loose loot on the floor and shelves. Lastly, exit to your left, towards the buildings, and loot the Electric Box by the dirt road.
In 2 to 3 mins you should be able to check all these spots once you get used to the route. Bring the loot back to your Cabin shelter or Barter with The Generalist. It is rare to find enemies here, but it is possible, so keep an eye out. If you bump into a Bandit and you don’t have a gun, just run back to the Cabin and reset.
Do this early gamer loot route every time you need to farm a new kit or when you run out of guns and you’ll never need to restart your Road To Vostok playthrough again.
