If you reach the Sanctum of Penitence in Crimson Desert, the puzzle can feel confusing at first. I ran through this area myself, and it is actually pretty simple once you understand the order.
You just need to clear enemies first and then fix a broken pillar using Axiom Force.

This sanctum is part of the Witch of Wisdom faction content in the Hernand region, placed toward the southeastern side of the map.
When you arrive, you will see ruined structures and four pillars, with one clearly broken. Nothing activates until the area is safe, so the puzzle does not really start right away.

Before touching the puzzle, you have to deal with all the enemies around the sanctum. These Antumbra worshippers are scattered across the ruins, and some stay airborne, which makes melee attacks less reliable.
From my experience, using skills like Nature's Retribution or Focused Shot makes this part quicker. Once every enemy is down, the puzzle becomes active, and you can interact with the environment properly.
After clearing the area, look at the pillars. One is incomplete and missing a section. The game helps here by marking the piece on your minimap.
Follow the marker through the nearby ruins. You can take stairs, climb broken stone paths, or use your flight ability depending on how you want to approach it. The path is not too complex, but it can feel slightly hidden if you do not follow the indicator closely.

Once you find the missing piece, you cannot carry it normally. This is where Axiom Force comes in.
Using Axiom Force lets you pull, push, and rotate the object. I found it easier to first pull it toward me, then slowly guide it back to the pillar instead of trying to rush. Keep adjusting its position as you move, especially around tight corners.

Bring the piece back and hold it just above the broken pillar. Do not try to force it in while using Axiom Force.
Instead, exit Axiom Force, climb up the pillar, and then use a jumping Force Palm attack. This pushes the piece down into place and locks it correctly. If you try to skip this step, the piece will not settle properly.

Once the piece is secured, the pillar restores, and the Sanctum of Penitence is complete. This finishes that part of the Witch of Wisdom objective and lets you move on to the next sanctum.
