The Dota 2 TI13 China qualifiers are just around the corner, with teams vying for two spots for The International 2024 (TI 2024). Here’s everything you need on the qualifiers: teams, schedule, location, format and more.
The road to The International 2024 (TI13) begins in China (China) on June 5th, 2024. Aspiring Dota 2 teams can prove their mettle through a two-phase qualifier system. Uninvited teams battle through the Open Qualifiers for a chance to join the Closed Qualifiers, where 6 teams await.
Open Qualifier #1:
Open Qualifier #2:
Six teams from the Open Qualifiers will join the six invited teams in the TI13 China Regional Qualifiers.
China Closed Qualifiers:
The TI13 China Closed Qualifiers will have twelve teams competing for the two spots for The International 2024 (TI 2024).
The teams participating in the TI13 China regional qualifiers are as follows:
China has seen a slight drop in fielding solid teams for international tournaments, especially at TI in the past few seasons.
There may be a few factors in play for the drop – less influx of new talents, China’s stringent national policy barring youngsters from playing video games, or not being able to adapt to the evolving landscape of Dota 2.
Xtreme Gaming and Azure Ray are the only teams to have made any real impact on the international stage, with G2.iG showing some signs of life. However, the fact remains unchanged: China lacks a real contender to contest against the dominating WEU teams and Team Spirit.
With Xtreme Gaming already securing a direct invite to TI13, more chances open up for China to showcase their talent and their ability to keep up with the best Dota 2 teams in the world.
Azure Ray and G2.iG are the most probable teams to qualify for TI13 but stiff competition can also be expected with the return of LGD as all three teams consist of top-notch talents, well-known within the Dota circle, and having played the game at the highest level.
Details on the format and exact schedule for TI13 China qualifiers still need to be revealed. Although the schedule will be available once the open qualifiers are over, the format is likely similar to past TI qualifiers.
The format is likely to be the following:

China can never be ruled out as the region is known for producing the most talented esports players. TI13 China Qualifiers will showcase the mettle of the Chinese players and their hunger to prove themselves on the big stage – The International 2024 (TI 2014).
