
Eight teams have received direct invites to compete at BLAST Slam VII, scheduled to begin on May 26, 2026. Let’s take a look at the teams that have secured their spots in the next edition of Slam.
The following teams have received direct invites to compete at BLAST Slam VII:
Team Liquid heads into the tournament as the reigning champions after winning BLAST Slam VI: Malta. They defeated Natus Vincere in the grand final to secure the championship, and also ended Tundra’s hot streak in Slams.
Alongside Team Liquid, notable names such as BetBoom Team, Tundra Esports, Team Falcons, Team Spirit and Team Yandex have also been invited, bolstering the European region as a whole. On the other hand, the rising stars of Southeast Asia, OG Esports, and the South American juggernauts HEROIC also join the list, making the event all the more exciting.

But that’s not all, because four more teams will join them, rounding up the total tally of teams competing at BLAST Slam VII to twelve participants. The remaining teams will be determined through the regional qualifiers.
The qualifiers will be held online and begin on March 30, 2026, with two slots reserved for Europe, one for Southeast Asia and one for China.
BLAST Slam VII is set to take place at the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen with some new format changes. Rest assured, the viewers are in for a spectacle with more matches (+38 games) and more gaming hours to witness.
