The International 2024 (TI13) is returning to Europe this September, and the prestigious Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, will set the stage for the world's best Dota 2 teams to clash for the coveted Aegis of Champions.

Following a format reminiscent of the early TIs, 16 teams will battle it out, with six Dota 2 teams earning direct invites to the crown jewel event and the remaining teams earning their spots through the daunting open qualifiers and regional qualifiers.

Qualifiers for The International 2024

The race heats up as the remaining 10 spots for The International 2024 (TI13) will be determined through a gruelling gauntlet of open qualifiers and regional qualifiers. Dota 2 players from across the globe will get a chance to fight for the remaining TI slots.

Here’s a breakdown of the upcoming qualifiers:

Open Qualifiers (June 3rd-8th)

Anyone can test their mettle in these online qualifiers, offering a true underdog story opportunity.

Regional Qualifiers (June 9th-23rd)

These qualifiers will determine the top teams joining the direct invites based on region (China, North America, South America, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Western Europe).

China and North America - June 9th to 13th

• China (2 slots): Azure Ray, G2.iG, LGD Gaming, Team Bright, Team Zero, Dark Horse (+6 teams from open qualifiers)
• North America (1 slot): Shopify Rebellion, Nouns, La Correntada (+5 teams from open qualifiers)

Eastern Europe and South America - June 14th to 18th

Once the dust has settled, the Road to The International will continue when 16 of the best Dota 2 teams in the world meet in Copenhagen. Mark your calendars with key dates for the TI14 group stage and playoffs:

• Group Stage: September 4th - 6th (Studio Production)
• Playoffs: September 8th - 10th (Studio Production)

The two-day Group Stage will commence on Wednesday, September 4th, immediately followed by the five-day Playoffs, a studio production that will run through Tuesday, September 10th, 2024.

The International 2024 prize pool is yet to be announced.

Royal Arena to hold The International 2024 Main Event

The International 2024 main event will be held at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark. The main event will span over three days, from September 13th (Friday) to September 14th (Sunday), with the new (or old) TI champions being crowned.

For the passionate Dota 2 fans hoping to attend the event in person will be able to purchase tickets from June 10th (Monday).
