How has it been playing for Team Spirit as a stand-in for Collapse?
We communicate well, especially since we all speak Russian. Although with new players, sometimes it can be a challenge in terms of understanding, but overall it's been easy to adapt. The team atmosphere is friendly, particularly with Miposhka.
What is the main difference between playing for Team Spirit and PSG Quest?
Team Spirit provides a full-time boot camp with all necessities, allowing us to focus solely on playing Dota. We don't have to worry about anything else. The support staff is very supportive. At PSG Quest, we had to handle many logistical issues, particularly related to Dota. There is nothing bad to say about PSG Quest but it was just the situation at that time. However, Team Spirit's disciplined and focused environment has been a valuable learning experience for me.
What was the root cause of PSG Quest disbanding?
We wanted to stay together after TI but TA_2000 planned to explore other options which eventually led to players going their separate ways. The logistical issues, as previously mentioned, also played a factor in our disbanding.
You’re the only player from PSG Quest who is officially without a team. Did you receive any offers from other teams?
Yes, I had received offers from two good teams but I made the choice to stand in for Team Spirit because I really wanted to work with Miposhka. The post-TI roster shuffle was also a bit chaotic and I didn’t like it because new information surfaced every day and nothing was set in stone. If a deal was sealed, then the chances of that deal going south were also a big possibility.
I didn’t want to be a part of it and decided to just chill for a bit. I’m going to wait for the New Year’s because there is going to be a shuffle. We’ll see how things come together that time.
What are your thoughts about the new kids on the block, Satanic and Rue, at Team Spirit?
The roster is showing promise as we prioritize individual practice and map awareness. While Satanic is a key focus, we're also working on expanding our hero pool, learning how to move around the map, creating our own playbook and expanding our hero pool. Our goal is to refine our play style and achieve further growth.
What is the most important element missing in Team Spirit, especially when you’re going to play at BLAST Slam I?
We need to be more cold-blooded in the games we play. That means no more social pressure or outward factors influencing our playstyle. Besides that, what we lack the most is experience.
We have two new players in the team and every tournament is going to be a learning experience for them. They will realise the mistakes they make, their strengths and weaknesses, and grow from there. So yeah, experience is one of the big elements we are missing at present.
What are your plans for Dota once Collapse returns?
I would still like to keep playing competitively and will be looking for a new team.
What if Team Spirit offers you to play for them full-time?
I would obviously love to play for them but that’s something I cannot answer right now. Only time will decide what it has in store for me.
