PGL Wallachia Season 1 boasted a wide variety of hero picks, differing from region to region, with the participating teams trying to materialize their strategies to fruition.
Few heroes were absolute no-brainers in the current Dota 2 Patch 7.35d, as they were the perfect balancing acts in the drafting phase.
Hoodwink, Pangolier, Enchantress, Centaur Warrunner and Shadow Demon featured more than the others. These heroes have a lot to offer – they synergize perfectly with the current meta, provide adaptability and versatility simultaneously, and can scale better in the late game.
Escape, stun, damage, disable and team fight initiation are some of the few things these heroes offer. Bane, Dragon Knight, Batrider, Gyrocopter and Clockwerk were also in the top ten but were quite situational compared to the top five.
Their importance has been highlighted and it’s no wonder they appear in the PGL Wallachia Season 1 Dota 2 Hero Tier List.
It’s always fun when you’re on the giving end of being a nightmare to the opponents, killing them left, right and centre, and sliding an evil smirk thereafter.
Tidehunter sits atop the mountain, having registered the highest KDA. Although a situational pick, and picked less at that, Tidehunter delivered the highest amount of KDAs in PGL Wallachia Season 1.
Closing in on Tidehunter are Chen and Slark, followed by Zeus and Anti-Mage. Chen and Zeus were amongst the frequently contested heroes in PGL Wallachia Season 1 and had a high win rate.
Zeus’ ultra-high Damage Per Second (DPS), wreaking havoc in the enemy lines, and Chen’s effective support role, healing allies and pushing lanes, mash up well with the current Dota 2 patch 7.35d.
Anti-Mage and Chen also boast a 100% win rate, although they were picked less. These picks yielded dividends.
Highest Gold Per Minute (GPM) is usually awarded to players entrusted with the carry role. Naturally, that would be ideal, considering it’s their role to farm as much as possible and at a fast pace.
However, there are also a few exceptions, with mid-players featuring now and then. Medusa, Drow Ranger, Anti-Mage, Troll Warlord, Juggernaut and Terrorblade feature in the highest GPM list.
No surprises here.
But Zeus and Lina also feature in the list and these are classic mid-lane heroes. These Dota 2 heroes make the list because their damage output is massive from early to late games. They can also single-handedly change the course of any game by popping off early.
This makes them the perfect entrants in the PGL Wallachia Season 1 Dota 2 Hero Tier List.
Some succeed because they are destined to, and most succeed because they are determined to.
Team Spirit players feature in both the categories of destiny and determination. It was their destiny to be placed in a crampy room during the TI10 wildcard qualifiers, and their determination to succeed turned into a Cinderella story as they went on to win their first TI.
Two years later, they won another TI. And after a crappy start to their 2024 Dota 2 campaign, they pop off out of nowhere and are the inaugural PGL Wallachia Season 1 Winner. If that’s not inspiring, then we don’t know what else is.
Back to the topic at hand, Larl, Yatoro and Collapse feature in the top three of the most successful players at PGL Wallachia Season 1. G2.IG’s Monet ranks fourth, Xtreme Gaming’s Xxs and Ame rank fifth and sixth, respectively.
We hope these insights from the PGL Wallachia Season 1 Hero Tier List inspire you to become better.
