Teng “Kordan” Tjin Yao is the final casualty as he leaves Team Secret, leaving Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, founder and captain, as the only remaining player in the Western European Dota 2 team.
The news of Kordan’s departure from Team Secret comes shortly after Crystallis' exit was reported a few hours back.
Kordan confirmed his departure and announced his free agency on X (formerly Twitter), concluding his seven-month tenure at Team Secret, similar to Crystallis. The Singaporean previously played for Bleed Esports for over a year before shifting gears to Europe to join Puppey.
His tenure at Secret is marked by the team’s dismal performances in numerous tournaments despite doing relatively well individually. However, the roster lacked chemistry and the overall performance never picked up, resulting in Team Secret’s inability to qualify for the Riyadh Masters 2024 and The International 2024 (TI13).
Team Secret is on the brink of a major roster overhaul as rumours swirl about the team's new lineup. With just three days until the PGL Wallachia Season 2 closed qualifiers, Puppey faces a daunting task: to rebuild a world-class team capable of returning Secret to its former glory.
Will Team Secret's upcoming roster be a stop-gap measure for the PGL Wallachia S2 qualifiers, or is Puppey planning a complete overhaul after TI13 to secure the best possible talent?
Despite no official confirmation from the organization, Dota 2 fans eagerly await the new roster development as Team Secret navigates this critical juncture in its history.
