It's grand final day at BLAST Premier World Final and wow, what a final.
A truly dominant showing by G2 as they went 3-0 against Spirit, they had two flawless CT sides on their way to becoming the first and only team to win two World Final trophies.
Let's take a look at the action.
The series started off well for Spirit, they won the opening pistol round and converted for a 2-0 lead. However, G2 responded quickly, and they leveled the score due to missed shots like this one from sh1ro.
Not everyone was missing shots though, donk pulled off some crisp Deagle headshots to make it 4-3.
7-5 in favour of Spirit at the break, it was a whitewash from that point on, G2 won eight rounds in a row to take the map 13-7.
Once again, Spirit opened the map with a 2-0 lead, but a NiKo triple-entry quickly got G2 into the game.
It wasn't completely easy for G2 though, sh1ro's patient play meant they ran out of time to plant on round seven.
7-5 in favour of G2 at the half, it could have been more had m0NESY managed to pull this one off.
The game ended 13-5 after another flawless CT side, with the big news being that G2's IGL pulled off a positive K/D.
Dust2 started with a bang, G2 were 6-1 up in the blink of an eye.
8-4 at the half, TaZ was feeling confident as he rallied his troops for an important second half.
But, let's face it, G2 winning was destiny. How else can you explain shots like this?
13-7 the final score, G2 lifted their second World Final trophy after an absolutely phenomenal performance that saw m0NESY and huNter- both drop 52 kills in the final.
