We've been treated to some phenomenal CS so far in the Perfect World Shanghai Major playoffs, and that didn't change in the semi-finals.
A day that saw a legend of the game lose what will be perhaps his best opportunity to win a Major for a long time, we also found out that the Major final will be a rematch of the first big event final this year.
Let's go over the action.
We kicked off the day with Spirit vs Mouz.
Known for their struggles on stage, MOUZ came into the tie hot, they took Spirit down on Nuke 13-7 thanks to an 8-4 T side.
Brollan starred on the map, his 20-12 statline gave him a 1.84 rating as donk sufffered one of the worst maps of his professional career.
However, the young star was back to his best on Ancient. He went 17-12 as Spirit forced their way back into the match with a 13-4 win, again due to a strong T half.
The final map, Mirage, saw MOUZ take an early 5-3 advantage on their T side. However, an eco round loss quickly turned the tides and Spirit took absolute control of the map, going 10-2 to take the map 13-7.
A solid team performance from them, each member of the team went positive, but it was sh1ro and donk who combined for 37 to be the difference makers.
The second game of the day was fought between old enemies, FaZe and G2.
FaZe kicked off the series with a dominant map win on Ancient. They put up an impressive 10-2 T side, and ropz and broky dominated in that half as they put up 17 and 12 kills respectively.
huNter- did his best to keep G2 in the tie, he went 18-14, but ultimately the deficit was too large and FaZe took the map 13-6.
Map two, Nuke, was a banger. FaZe began on the CT side, and looked to be setting themselves up for another dominant win as they went 5-1 up.
However, G2 brought a few rounds back, but some clutch moments from the FaZe boys limited G2 to just four rounds at the half.
On their CT side, G2 managed to not just tie the game, but also put themselves on map point as they lead the game 12-10.
It wasn't enough though, and as FaZe broke their economy, they forced overtime and took the momentum back to take the map 16-14.
What will likely be a disappointing final game for NiKo in a G2 jersey, he was limited to just 17 kills as he was consistently picked off by FaZe when trying to find space Outside.
FaZe's fragging quartet all shone, each one picked up 20 or more kills to send FaZe through to the final and set up a rematch of IEM Katowice 2024.
