Spirit and MOUZ head to the grand final: BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026 semi-final recap
BLAST Bounty Season2 2026 has been stellar so far, and the expectation defying games continued into the semi-finals as FaZe pushed Spirit to their absolute limit in a star-studded clash for a grand final spot.
A day that also featured a fiercely competitive clash between MOUZ and Astralis, let’s go over the action.
Spirit edge out FaZe in tight clash
There were no expectations on FaZe heading into this event, but after their performances in the online stage and here in Malta, we think people will be expecting them to get back to the good old days in not time at all.
Spirit kicked off the semi with a dominant 13-6 win on Dust2, succesfully shutting down new FaZe star JBOEN as captain fantastic magixx starred with 20 frags. FaZe got themselves back in the series on Cache, though, winning 13-8 after frozen topped the scoreboard with 18.
The third map, Anubis, could have gone either way, but some anxious CT rounds out of FaZe saw them let a 10-5 lead slip as Spirit pulled it back in the gun rounds and eventually seal the series win at 13-11.
MOUZ seal the deal versus Astralis
The second semi-final also began with a 13-6 win, this time Astralis as they converted a solid T side into a confident win on Ancient.
MOUZ fought back, though, winning the following two maps of Mirage and Dust2 with 13-9 scorelines, and dominating the third as the led 12-2 after the second half pistol round.
A game that perhaps came too soon for a reinvigorated Astralis, MOUZ will be happy to see themselves return to the finals after their roster changes over the summer.
