We're fast approaching the Perfect World Shanghai Major as we've now witnessed three out of four RMRs.
The most recent, EU RMR A, was the first to introduce European teams to this Major cycle, and it ended up having some incredible stories as Falcons were denied their place at another Major and GamerLegion battled back from a 0-2 start.
Let's go through all the teams who qualified.
Kicking us off with the two teams that went straight through with a 3-0 record, we have MOUZ and Vitality. There's been plenty of rumours about the future of both teams in recent weeks, but those rumours didn't affect them as they kicked off their Major campaigns.
MOUZ began their RMR in dominant fashion, they took down Nemiga and Sangal in two 13-3 wins. One on Mirage and the other on Inferno, all four of their fragging stars were putting in big performances to set them up for early qualification.
Their 2-0 game was to be played against the winners of the previous Major, NAVI. A 2-1 victory for MOUZ, they battled back from a map down to book their Major spot after confident wins on Dust2 and Inferno.
As for Vitality, they started off their RMR with a 13-8 win over GamerLegion and followed it up with a 13-3 versus BetBoom.
Those wins booked them a match against FaZe, which they opened with a comfortable 13-5 win on Mirage. They second map in the series, Dust2, was far closer, but Vitality eventually managed to secure their place at the Major with a 13-11 win.
Fortunately for FaZe and NAVI, they didn't give themselves a reason to worry as they qualified for the Major on the very next day.
FaZe did so with a 2-0 with over fnatic, while NAVI did so with a 2-0 win over SAW. However, that didn't mean that FaZe were done with the RMR.
Despite qualifying, FaZe would have to play one more game in the RMR, a seeding match against Cloud9, the other team with a 3-1 record.
That game, which was won 2-1 by FaZe, meant that FaZe would advance straight to the Elimination Stage of the Major, while Cloud9 would qualify for the Opening Stage.
We ended the final day with three teams with a 3-2 record, those being fnatic, BetBoom, and GamerLegion. However, that didn't mean that they all qualified.
fnatic were the lucky ones, their score meant that they advanced straight to the Major after beating ECLOT in their final game.
That meant that BetBoom and GamerLegion would have to play one final match against each other to see who would claim the final spot in the Major from the RMR.
As it happened, GamerLegion won that game with a 2-1 scoreline, a fitting end to their comeback story after ending the first day with a 0-2 record. It also marks a monumental achievement for the roster, only volt has been with the team for longer than six months.
