There might not have been any upsets in the first round of BLAST Bounty Season 2, but the second round began with two big shocks as both FaZe and NAVI fell to lower-ranked opposition.
An exciting round of action, the top four teams in the world all made it to the playoff stage, surviving tough games in order to do so.
Let's take a look at the action.
A day in which only one higher-ranked team survived, it began with Astralis taking down NAVI in three maps.
NAVI began the series well with a 13-11 win on Dust2, but were quickly pegged back as they fell 13-7 on Inferno. Complete capitulation followed, they lost Nuke 13-2 thanks to a 2.14 rated performance from jabbi.
Moving into the second game of the day we got another upset as Virtus.pro joined in on the bounty hunting to eliminate FaZe.
The series kicked off with electroNic rolling back the years to secure a 13-10 win on Overpass, to which FaZe responded appropriately with a 13-9 win on Ancient. Pushed to an Inferno decider, VP found themselves the 13-9 winners on map three, FL1T pulled off a solid 23-14 game to secure them the win.
There was huge shock when G2 picked Spirit as their opponents, but it almost worked out as they pushed the IEM Cologne winners incredibly far.
Spirit had to come back from being down at half time to win Mirage, but they were powerless to prevent huNter- from firing his team to a 13-8 win on Ancient. A decider on Dust2 ensued, with Spirit taking the series off the back of the 13-7 win despite donk going negative in the series.
The day ended with yet another upset as Liquid managed to take down FURIA in three maps.
FURIA began the series with a dominant 13-4 win on Mirage, but Liquid dug deep, picking up comfortable wins on both Train and Dust2.
Unlike day one, all the big teams survived on day two in a day of 2-0 wins.
The day began with The MongolZ vs paiN, a rematch of their semi-final at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
paiN pushed The MongolZ far in the 2-0 defeat, but Techno proved to just be too strong as The MongolZ won Dust2 13-11 and Ancient 13-10 despite heroic plays from the paiN players.
We then headed into MOUZ vs B8, with MOUZ refusing to accept B8's proposal of placing a wager on the match.
A decision they may have come to regret, MOUZ made light work of B8, winning Ancient 13-5 thanks to 20 kills from xertioN before wrapping up the series with a 13-11 win on Train.
Our next game saw an even more comfortable victory as Aurora breezed past HEROIC.
A series which kicked off with a 13-2 win for Aurora on Overpass and a 2.10 rating for Wicadia, they closed it out on Dust2, which they won 13-9.
The day ended on Vitality vs Legacy, and unlike at the Austin Major, Vitality got the better of the Brazilians this time aorund.
16-12 on Mirage, Vitality were pushed further by Legacy than many would have expected, but they were comfortable on Dust2 as they secured their playoffs berth with a 13-8 win.
