The team list for the BLAST.tv Austin Major has almost been decided and it's going to be played without some huge names.
fnatic, GamerLegion, and BIG all missed out yesterday, and now Astralis have been confirmed to be missing out after falling to B8 in the sixth-placed decider match.
Let's go over all the action from across the world.
The NA MRQ saw MIGHT become the first team to be eliminated from the event, they were brushed aside by Getting Info 2-0 as FaNg went +31 in a 13-6 on Nuke and 13-9 on Mirage.
Joining MIGHT in the eliminated pool is Nouns, they also exited the competition in last place after successive 13-9 defeats at the hand of Marsborne.
However, both Wildcard and Complexity secured their spots at the Major. Complexity did so with a 2-0 win over BLUEJAYS, hallzerk and Grim shone to keep America's team steaming ahead.
Widlcard's game wasn't so straightforward. They had to comeback from a map down against NRG in their qualification game, but did so thanks to a ridiculous 31-11 performance from phzy on Inferno.
After getting off to strong starts on day one of the South American MRQ, Imperial and Fluxo secured their Major berths after taking down Sharks and Legacy with 2-0 scorelines.
On the flip side, RED Canids and Solid definitely won't be heading over to Austin for the Major.
Both teams lost 2-0 in their elimination games, with Solid losing to ODDIK and RED Canids to BESTIA.
No surprises over in Oceania, FlyQuest qualified for the Major thanks to a second victory over their former teammate, aliStair, and his new team SemperFi.
Liazz was firing on all cylinders in the deciding match, he went 35-21 as FlyQuest won Inferno 13-7 and Mirage 13-5.
Over in the Asia MRQ, Chinggis Warriors qualified for their first Major after a banger 2-1 victory over fellow Mongolian team, Eruption.
Despite the best efforts of former The MongolZ player sk0r, Chinggis Warriors were simply too much for Eruption to handle and 59 kills from ariucle earned Chinggis Warriors their place in Austin.
After losing to Lynn Vision in the upper bracket final, TYLOO were faced with a do-or-die game against Rare Atom for the second Chinese spot at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
JamYoung and Mercury were determined to not miss out on said Major, the duo fried to combine for 77 kills and book TYLOO's place following wins on Anubis and Mirage.
With three teams left playing for one available spot at the Major, it all came down to a tense sixth-place decider bracket in the European MRQ.
The day began with ENCE taking on B8, a game the Ukrainians won with a 2-1 scoreline.
alex666 and kensizor may have struggled in that game, but npl, headtr1ck, and esenthial all picking up 50 kills or more was enough for B8 to claim the win and book their spot in the decider match against Astralis.
And that match against Astralis was a banger, a game worthy of deciding who would be the last European team to make it to the Major.
The game opened with B8 picking up Mirage 13-10. stavn and jabbi both put in admirable performances on map one, but the overall team performance from B8 managed to secure them the win.
Astralis then replied with a 13-7 victory on Inferno, largely down to the 23 kills picked up by device.
However, B8 managed to cling on, and after a 16-14 barnburner on Ancient, B8 finally secured their Major spot following a wicked 1v3 by alex666.
