Virtus.pro can be unstoppable when they get going, and Astralis felt the brunt of that when they came up against them in the quarter-finals of BLAST Premier Spring Final presented by Revolut.
After VP's 2-0 win against the Danes, we caught up with fame to discuss VP's momentum and the limited practice time VP have had since electroNic arrived.
You got the win over Astralis, how are you feeling?
I'm feeling great, it's been tough for us lately so it's really nice to get a win in playoffs in front of the crowd. I'm looking forward to the next match.
I overheard electroNic saying that he was feeling tired and that you've had limited practice since he arrived, is it a surprise to make it so far?
No, I'm not surprised, I always knew we were very strong individuals and that we just needed some time to adapt and become better. As he said, we haven't had that yet and it's been a hard season for us so maybe the tiredness is affecting us too.
Why has the season been so hard?
I think we've just played a lot of tournaments, and that was definitely something I was feeling. I'm looking forward to finishing this event - I want to win this and then I want to go home.
Have you got any plans for when you get home?
No, nothing crazy. I will just go home to my friends and family.
When VP get going you're very hard to stop, but why do you struggle to find that peak consistently?
It's hard to say, I think the main reason is that we haven't had a lot of time to practice and we just need that. There might be other reasons, but in my opinion, that's the main one.
You play NAVI in your next game, how are you feeling about that?
They're a good team, and I think it will be an interesting match. It might be very important for electroNic and for the NAVI guys too, but for me, it will be an interesting match I'm looking forward to.
