BLAST Premier Spring Finals 2024 is all said and done, and what a week of Counter-Strike action it was.
We had 13-0s, upsets, and overtimes galore, but of course, only six of our teams walked away from Copenhagen, having achieved what they came for: A spot at BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024.
So, who were those teams?
Vitality were the victors in a stacked Group A, but that doesn't mean it was as easy for them as you might expect for the World's number-one team.
Having started off the event with a 13-0 demolition of OG, they would later fall to the new Astralis lineup, proving that the BLAST Premier World Final 2023 champions aren't actually immortal.
Still, Vitality bounced back with a win against Falcons and then enacted their revenge on Astralis to qualify straight for Spring Finals.
Although FaZe may have begun life at Spring Goups with a surprise 2-0 loss to GamerLegion, they came back through the Lower Bracket to best Liquid in the Group B final.
FaZe's lower bracket run showed us the FaZe we are used to seeing. They breezed past a weakened Spirit team and put up a confident display in their rematch against GamerLegon. Liquid proved to be no match for them in the final, too.
A team seemingly constantly on the up, NAVI once again proved why they are worth fearing in their run to winning Group C.
One of two teams not to lose a game at Spring Groups, they beat Complexity in their opening game before beating G2 twice to book their spot in London.
The only other team to go unbeaten at Spring Groups is also the only one of our new member teams to secure a place at Spring Final. Virtus.pro.
Jame and his boys showed why they were able to win a Major in Copenhagen; they were in fine form as they beat BIG twice and Cloud9 once.
A new feature of Spring Groups for 2024 was the play-in stage. In the play-in stage, the four second-placed teams were placed into two games, and there they faced off for two spots at Spring Final.
Astralis looked strong throughout Spring Groups but they couldn't secure qualification in their final group match against Vitality.
Instead, they faced off against BIG, and the resulting victory was among the most hard-earned of the entire group stage.
G2 were absent from BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023, but they secured their spot at Spring Final 2024 after taking down Liquid in their play-in match.
A relief after falling twice to NAVI in Group C, they will now be able to consolidate their power in time for Spring Final in June.
The six teams who have already qualified for BLAST Premier Spring Final are sure to make it a banger, but they won't be the only teams to qualify for the event.
The two teams that will round out the lineup will be found from our Spring Showdown, and 10 of the 16 teams competing in that event have already been decided thanks to the outcome of Spring Groups.
The remaining teams will then be decided via the six qualifier tournaments that will take place during February,
The currently qualified teams are as follows:
BLAST ApS., Hauser Plads 1, 3., 1127 Copenhagen
