If three maps in the G2 vs Imperial series wasn't enough for you, how about a three map series that went the full 90 rounds?
An incredible game, Complexity vs Astralis had it all, and the home crowd will be more than excited about the fact it was the North American side that came away victors.
Map one was Complexity's pick of Vertigo, where they recorded 8-7 score lines in both halves.
A map in which Astralis were slow out of the gates, their slow start didn't prevent Buzz, device, and blameF from all performing well.
However, as Altekz struggled, Complexity would consistently find holes in the defence with their fast paced T side, and the trio of floppy, faNg, and Grim all performed well for the NA side to take the advantage 16-14.
An equally close map that swung in the favour of the Danish squadron, a late surge from youngsters Buzz and Altekz was key in order for Astralis to get over the line.
floppy and faNg kept up their strong performances from map one from Complexity, but as their team ran out of gas in the second half, it was enough for Astralis to take the lead and eventual victory.
blameF was a superstar on the map, constantly finding gaps through middle and recording a 24-12 statline. device too remained strong, while gla1ve stepping up also enabled the Danes to take the map, you guessed it, 16-14.
Yesterday, device recorded a career-worst Overpass performance, and he fared little better against Complexity today. An uncharacteristically poor performance on his historically best map, he was repeatedly beaten in duels by Complexity stand-in Sonic.
Sonic especially deserves credit for his performances in map three, with some monster Deagle kills on device, he repeatedly left Scrawny and launders questioning how he'd been away from official games for so long.
Another 16-1 scoreline, Astralis arguably made it closer than it should've been considering they were 14-9 down, however Complexity will just be happy they managed to shake off their former woes and take home the series.
While it's an early trip to the showers for Astralis, Complexity will now advance to tomorrow's quarter finals for a game against their rivals Imperial and a chance to play in front of their home crowd.
