Liquid beating NAVI in their first game against the Major champions was a huge upset, and they have now followed that up with a second win against them to qualify for Fall Final.
A three map banger, it marks a perfect start for Liquid in their opening event with their new roster.
NAVI started strong on Nuke and extended their lead to four thanks to a 2v4 from w0nderful and iM.
The Major champions had a strangehold on the match at 6-2, but jks almost wrestled free with this 1v4 attempt.
NAVI tightened their grip from that point, closing out the half with a 10-2 lead thanks to iM shutting Liquid down Outside.
Liquid attempted to mount a comeback in the second half, YEKINDAR and jks pulled off a 2v4 of their own to earn Liquid a fifth round win.
And then Twistzz brought the score even closer with a well-timed lurk play to win the 1v2.
The round wins ceased for Liquid there though, NAVI closed out the map with a 13-9 scoreline.
Anubis started strong for NAVI, especially because of this crazy play from jL on the pistol round.
They built up a five round lead off the back of their pistol win, although they were quite fortunate to do so considering Twistzz's game crash on round five.
And yeah, he wasn't happy about it.
Liquid did eventually get themselves back into the map with two round wins, but iM immediately sat them back down with a 1v3.
7-5 at the half, NAVI opened the second half with another pistol win. It didn't take Liquid as long to get on the board on the T side, however, YEKINDAR clutched to make it 9-6.
11-8 down and in need of a big play, it was Liquid captain Twistzz that came up huge on Liquid's half buy to secure a ninth for his team.
Liquid tied the game off the back of that round win, forcing OT and eventually closing out the map thanks to NAF's incredible 29-20 performance.
Liquid won the opening three rounds of Inferno, but jL made sure the scoreline stayed close with a calm play from the back of B site.
That play set NAVI up to win nine rounds in a row on their CT side, but what chance did Liquid have with w0nderful hitting shots like this?
This also happened during the nine round streak, and honestly, we're not quite sure either.
Liquid started their comeback with a pistol round win but it was almost immediately halted as w0nderful came close to a 1v3.
The new boys eventually tied the score at 9-9, and it was ultimate with a 4k to give them the lead for the first time since early in the first half.
That play ultimately (pun intended) set up Liquid to win the series, they closed out Inferno at 13-10 with their new Polish sniper topping the charts at 26-11.
