BLAST Premier Fall Final is right around the corner, and that means that thousands of gamers are about to descend upon Copenhagen to watch some exciting Counter-Strike action.
But what do you do when the action is not on?
In a new city it can often be daunting to figure out where to go, what to see even places to eat, but don't worry about that, because we've enlisted an expert to give you his tips on all of these things and more.
So, without further ado, here are dupreeh's best tips and advice for making the most out of your trip to Copenhagen this November.
Let's start off with the reason why you're all coming to Copenhagen, gaming. dupreeh says Copenhagen is a "hub of gaming and esports" and truly "connects with gaming culture." Consider checking out 'Let's Play', 'G4ME TIME Parken', or, if you're a fan, the Astralis Nexus to "connect with fellow gamers".
However, with all the gaming going on at the event, maybe you'll be looking for a break from that by showing your appreciation to the natural beauty of Copenhagen. dupreeh says:
"Copenhagen's parks and green spaces provide the perfect escape. You can recharge your energy in beautiful parks like Kongens Have or take a relaxing stroll in one of the city's many green areas." - dupreeh
But what if you don't have an appreciation for the natural world? Instead, you could check out some of Copenhagen's "diverse neighbourhoods" and their "range of experiences." dupreeh recommends " the vibrant and hipster vibes of Nørrebro or the upscale atmosphere in Østerbro."
Maybe food culture is what takes your fancy, and if so, there are very few places better than Copenhagen. Home to one of the world's best restaurants, Noma, there is also "fantastic street food on offer." dupreeh says:
"Just like a well-balanced loadout, Copenhagen's food scene is diverse and satisfying. From fantastic street food to high-end restaurants, the city offers a wide array of culinary experiences. You can refuel with delicious food while discussing your latest gaming victories with the homies." - dupreeh
If you want further recommendations, why not try out Warpigs, Mother, or H15? Got a sweet tooth? Then Ismageriet is the place for you. At the very least, stuff your face with Smørrebrød, it's the Danish speciality!
For first-time visitors to Copenhagen, I recommend these places:
Old Town-Center: Explore Rundetårn, Den Lille Havfrue, and Nyhavn.
Some of Europe's Finest Castles: Visit Amalienborg, Christiansborg, and Kronborg.
Park-Life: Enjoy Kongens Have, Fælledparken, and Frederiksberg Have.
We can't wait for you all to join us in Copenhagen, and we hope you love it just as much as we do.
