There was more than a tinge of regret and "what if" for Grayhound, who are the last team eliminated from the Challengers Stage.
Though some might expect that Grayhound would be at least somewhat proud of their performance given they got into a 2-2 game, but Vexite was, at least in the moment, not particularly pleased with his own and his team's performance.
"We sort of just look at it objectively and look at the games objectively and look at how we played, and we’re just not happy with how we played."
The teenager was clearly regretful that he and his team didn't make the most of a golden opportunity to qualify, though few would have expected them to best Team Liquid in a best of three.
ELiGE was back on song, while NAF and YEKINDAR made up that scary Cerberus of riflers that Liquid possess that eventually overpowered Grayhound.
"They definitely switched up their style a little bit as they got more momentum but it's pretty expected" he admitted. "They're sharp players for sure".
Looking at it "objectively", as Vexite did, it's hard not to feel at least that Grayhound did a solid enough job. They weren't expected to make it through, and they missed out on day four.
Realistically, they shouldn't be too upset. But that isn't how competitive disciplines work.
Or, as Vexite put it: "We played pretty bad, but the result wasn’t too bad."
