Skins in Counter-Strike are an iconic part of the game. Unlike other games, they also hold independent values and can be traded freely on the Steam Market and third-party trading sites.
Because of this, certain skins have ascended to incredible values, with the most iconic skins reaching upwards of thousands of dollars.
Some of the most expensive skins in CS2 are Gloves. Ever since they were added to the game in November 2016, gloves have been exceedingly rare and prized items, and because of that, they have always held high value.
For this reason, if you're looking to buy gloves in CS2, you will want to ensure you buy the right ones. So, we here at BLAST.tv have put together a CS2 gloves tier list to see which are the nicest gloves in the game.
First though, in case you feel like trying your luck at getting Gloves from a CS2 case instead of purchasing them, what are the odds you will be successful?
The odds of unboxing Gloves from a CS2 case are exceedingly low. At just 0.26% chance, they have the same low percentage as non-StatTrak knives.
So, which cases can you unbox Gloves from in CS2?
Now it is time to get into our CS2 Glove tier list.
Unlike knives, there are limited Glove styles available but they come in many different finishes. Because of this, we will do our tier list in the traditional way (S-F) rather than as a numerical ranking as we did for CS2 Knives.
Kicking us off on our CS2 Gloves tier list is the crème de la crème, the pinnacle, the absolute gold standard of Gloves in Counter-Strike 2 - the S tier.
The S tier includes skins like the Sport Gloves Vice which can sell for upwards of £3,000. Also included is the Hand Wraps CAUTION! at a far more reasonable £1,300 and Specialist Gloves Field Agent for a comparatively cheap £605.
Although the A tier isn't the ultimate tier within our CS2 Gloves tier list, it still includes some absolutely exceptional gloves.
It includes the Hand Wraps Duct Tape and the Hand Wraps Leather, which may be controversial choices, but there are few gloves you can get which are as nice as they are for £350. They also appeal to a more realistic vibe than other Gloves available in CS2, and we really like their makeshift look.
Elsewhere in the A tier is the Specialist Gloves Marble Fade, an iconic Counter-Strike skin design. A factory-new variant of the gloves will set you back a cool £900.
Finally, there are the Specialist Gloves Emerald Web, which offer a unique green design for £700, which makes them a mid-priced pair of Gloves in CS2.
Next up on our CS2 gloves tier list is the B tier.
The B tier includes a host of blue CS2 gloves, such as the Hand Wraps Cobalt Skulls and Hand Wraps Overprint, Specialist Gloves Mogul, and the Sport Gloves Amphibious. The most expensive of these skins is the Moguls, of which a factory-new version will cost you just over £1,000.
Also included is the Broken Fang Gloves Jade, which feature a deep-green design and a golden snake embroidered into them. Just like the Special Gloves Mogul, they cost just over £1,000.
As we head into the world of average and below in our CS2 Gloves tier list, we have the C tier.
The C tier includes some pretty cool skins still. The Hand Wraps Badlands and the Hand Wraps Arboreal appeal to the same makeshift, realistic vibe as the aforementioned Hand Wraps, but we just don't think they're as nice. They do cost similar prices, however, they can both also be obtained for around £300.
The C tier also features the Driver Gloves Imperial Plaid. These are purple coloured Gloves with a unique plaid design, so if you want to stand out, you might even consider them S tier yourself. They will cost you £650 though, so just bear that in mind before buying them.
Moving on we have the D tier of our CS2 Gloves tier list.
The most notable Gloves within the D tier are the Specialist Gloves Foundation. They feature a white and orange design, which, compared to similar glove skins, stands out the most. However, a factory-new set costs around £750, and some will argue there are better gloves you can get for that price.
Also included is the Driver Gloves Black Tie, which we think are the nicest monochrome gloves in Counter-Strike. With that in mind, you may be wondering why they are languishing in the D tier. This is because they are worth £2,200 for a factory-new version and we think that price is absurd for CS2 Gloves that feature no design and such a simple colour scheme.
The penultimate tier in our CS2 Gloves tier list is the E tier.
The largest of every tier on this list, truthfully, we think the Gloves within this tier just aren't worth buying.
Not only do they feature some of the most bland designs, but many of them appear to be worse versions of other skins. Whether it's because they aren't as vibrant are similarly coloured skins or if they just cost too much in comparison, the Gloves within the E tier aren't worth the money.
Closing out our CS2 Gloves tier list is the F tier, the Gloves we think are the absolute bottom of the pile in Counter-Strike 2.
The F tier takes everything we said about the E tier to the extreme. All the Gloves within this tier are boring, bland designs that serve to exist as lesser versions of skins that you pray you won't unbox if you are actually fortunate enough to unbox Gloves in the first place.
The bottom line is that Gloves are expensive, so if you're spending the money, you want them to be noticeable - and the fact is, these Gloves just aren't noticeable.
Do yourself a favour, save the money.
