OG were always going to struggle at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 given the fact they were playing with a stand-in IGL in Thomas, but they fought valiantly as they were eliminated at the hands of Complexity.
For Complexity, however, their survival will be considered a let-off, especially given that they conceded their own map pick of Vertigo and needed to massively comeback on Ancient.
OG looked strong on their ancient T side as they ended the half with a 9-3 lead although it could have been far greater had MoDo managed to pull off this 1v3.
The remainder of the half was smooth sailing for OG, but the tides quickly turned in the second half as Grim mopped up the retake attempt on the A site.
A hard fought map from both sides, it took a monstrous performance from EliGE to secure a 13-11 victory for his team.
OG looked to bounce back in a big way on map two and Thomas knew just how to get under his opponents' skin: by threatening the things they hold most dear.
A map typically comfortable for Complexity, they proved that by building up a 7-5 lead at the half, however, the map was quickly flipped on it's head thanks to an out of sorts CT side from the NA team that allowed OG to race to a 13-9 win.
Thomas shone during map two with 19 kills, doing everything he could to try and ensure he won't be just a stand-in for too much longer.
It all came down to Anubis to see who would become the first team eliminated and although Complexity started strongest, Thomas did have a shining moment to secure a first round for OG.
All tied up at the half, Complexity were clearly in good spirits, they even took to trying to relieve HenryG and Anders off their duties as the games casters.
And no wonder they were so confident, they raced to a 13-7 victory thanks to seven quick T side rounds. JT starred in that run, the IGL picked up 12 kills back up hallzerk's top-fragging map.
