Teams that just yesterday fought their way through fellow hopefuls from the Last Chance Qualifiers were now pitted against the titans of RLCS in Day 2 of the 2025 World Championship.

No surprises in Group B

Team Falcons and NRG secure a relaxing Friday and go straight through to the Playoffs.

There was little doubt that the Raleigh Major champions NA's #1 would be the first two teams to emerge from Group B. However, a closer look reveals some potentially interesting results.

The American youngsters on Spacestation managed to take Team Vitality, who are easily a top 3 team in Group B, all the way to Game 5.

Similarly, EU LCQ champions Ninjas in Pyjamas pushed NRG to its limits.

OCE IS UNDEFEATED! WILDCARD HAS SWEPT ITS WAY TO THE TOP 6!

Your eyes do not deceive you. The #1 and only team remaining from OCE has swept its way through both SAM #1 FURIA and Raleigh Major grand finalists Dignitas (EU #2).

Almost equally as surprising, The Ultimates, who fell flat in Raleigh, cruised through Geekay Esports and Karmine Corp, the 2nd and 1st place teams from EWC 2025, respectively.

With The Ultimates and Wildcard's incredible performances, at least two of the hottest RLCS teams in the world are doomed to not see Playoffs.

Four teams have punched their tickets to Saturday and the Playoff upper bracket, and not a single one of them is from Europe.

EU will, without a doubt, do its absolute best to secure as many still-available Playoffs spots as possible, but so will every other region.
