Battlefield 6 has just had its first open beta weekend, and it was one hell of an opening. On Steam alone, the game reached a peak player count of 521,079. For reference, that surpasses the all time peak CoD had on the platform (491,670 players), and that includes the free Warzone mode.
If you're aiming to get used to the game, whether you are a returning player or someone trying the franchise for the first time, you can't go wrong with what we have for you. Here is the best weapon and loadout in Battlefield 6.
Note: The key detail for our two choices is versatility. Featuring multiple modes and maps, Battlefield 6 rewards versatility above all else, especially when it comes to its new game-mode, Breakthrough.
The best and most versatile weapon in Battlefield 6 is the M433, the Assault class' Signature Weapon. It is decent enough even with few to no attachments, but it becomes a beast when you begin unlocking new upgrades. Crucially, it can shine in two completely different playstyles.
If you get into maps that feature longer distance engagements, or if you find yourself quickly surrounded by enemies when you attempt to go into closer range gunfights, you can customize your M433 to excel at medium to long distance encounters.

The plan with this iteration of M433 is to engage into medium to long distance gunfights from unconventional or safe angles. The suppressor allows us to take riskier positions while minimizing the chances of getting caught, but we ideally want to keep our distance at all times. Be careful with how you engage enemy Scouts, though, as they will take you down if they hit you in the head.

This build excels in CQC, so it is extra effective in maps with frequent engagements indoors or in small chokepoints. In addition to the deadly M87A1 shotgun that the Assault gets access to as a gadget, turning the M433 into an a short-range destroyer ensures that you will be successful in most of your engagements.
As you can see, these are just two examples of how versatile this gun can be, and that is what makes it the best weapon in Battlefield 6.

The only scenario in which picking Assault isn't the correct choice is if you have too many players already running the class and the enemy is investing heavily into vehicles.
Tanks, especially, will be your Achiles Heel with this Loadout, but you can always just avoid them and let either your Scouts or Engineers deal with them. Even in smaller maps, there will always be engagements happening without any tanks present.
What makes this Loadout so good is, again, its impressive versatility, boosted by the fact that it carries a third viable weapon and a Signature Gadget that is always useful.
While other classes feature qualities that are either situational (Engineers excel when there are vehicles at play in both sides) or have diminishing returns (you don't want a lot of Supports or Scouts because eventually medkits and spawn beacons will become redundant), Assaults come with an Adrenaline Injector.
This is an entirely selfish Signature Gadget, but it is one that is always useful. It temporarily boosts sprint speed and makes enemy footsteps easier to hear, giving audio information a whole new level of usefulness. Even in the midst of chaos, you'll know that the heavy footsteps you're hearing are from an enemy.
Lastly, the Assault's training skills are extremely useful, with the active Combat Stimulant highlighting enemy sounds and revealing nearby enemies. Kills extend the duration of the Stimulant, so you can become a true nightmare to your opponents when having a good game.
