Season One Content Releases
Battlefield 6's Season One promises new content every month, which EA say will be case in each season. This first season has three months confirmed, with three separate updates promised in each one. Here's everything you need to know.
Rogue Ops- Oct 28
The first update will kick off Season One with the following:
Image via Electronic Arts.- Blackwell Fields- New big map which will support all team sizes, featuring support for both land and air vehicles.
- Strikepoint- New 4v4 gamemode with no respaws. Both teams will fight over a single objective, a new take on the classic Counter Strike blueprint.
- APC Traverser Mark 2- A new land vehicle which allows seating for four players, featuring a driver, a roof gunner, and two passengers on the backseats.
- SOR-300C- A new carbine rifle with a low rate of fire and high damage.
- Mini Fix- Lightweight sniper rifle à lá CS2's Scout, promising to fit the playstyle of the more aggressive recon players.
- GGH-22- A much needed addition to the sparse sidearm arsenal. While it has low damage, it boasts high fire rate and ammo capacity.
- Rail Cover & LPVO- Two new attachments which will work with multiple rifles and LMGs.
California Resistance- Nov 18
Less than a full month after Rogue Ops, Battlefield 6's Season One will be upgraded with the California Resistance update. Here's what it will bring:
Image via Electronic Arts.- Eastwood- Another big map which will support all team sizes and land vehicles. No support for jets here, though, only helicopters will be allowed, so it will most likely be smaller than Blackwell Fields.
- Sabotage- Another interesting twist on the CS2 blueprint. This 8v8 game mode will have teams alternating between attacking and defending. The objective is to destroy has many sites as possible during one round, something akin to Rush. The team with most detonations during their attack round wins.
- Battle Pickups- A returning feature from previous titles, these are powerful weapons with limited ammunition that will be spread throughout the map.
- DB-12- A new dual barrel pump-action shotgun allowing the player two shots in quick succession before forcing a reload.
- M327 Trait- Eight-round revolver dealing massive damage at close range but with a big damage drop-off.
- Slim Handstop- A grip attachment focused on ergonomics and handling.
Winter Offensive- December 9
The third and final season one update will come in December with an appropriately timed winter-themed map update.
Image via Electronic Arts.- Ice Lock Empire State- Instead of a new map, this third update brings a new look to Empire State, with environmental threats detected.
- Ice Lock- That environmental threat is a new mechanic called Freeze. EA hasn't explained what this is, but expect it to impact any winter-themed maps like Empire State.
- Ice Climbing Axe- A new melee weapon aiming to fill the medium-sized void between the small knife and the massive sledgehammer.
